Rated 9 out of 10 by Blueking The first handheld game I ever owned
For my 11th birthday back 2001 my uncle who was living in Salinas California at the time mailed me a GameBoy Advance which was my first Nintendo system ever . Then my mother got this game to go along with it. I never played the original version on the NES but I have played the remodeled version on Super Mario All Stars for the SNES. This however is the best remade version of Super Mario Bros. 2. The graphics look like they were modeled after Super Mario World and put those graphics in a NES game for the GBA and you got and awesome playing experience. Also this game has voice acting when you select your character, when they die, and when you meet a boss. The storyline is unaltered for those of you who are die hard old school fans, its the same game with better graphics. This was just the first of Nintendo remakes of classic Mario NES games for the GBA. They even re-released SNES game for the GBA like Donkey Kong Country Advance.
Rated 10 out of 10 by Ness This is one of the best mario games ever!
This is one of the greatest games I have ever played! I liked every single level! The soundtrack was very good, as well. I like how you can use Mario, Luigi, Toad, or for once, Princess Toadstool/Peach. I may not be a huge fan of Mario games, but this is one of the three, including Super Mario Galaxy, and Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga that I found to be really fun. Super Mario Advance/Super Mario Bros. 2 puts a new twist on a classic series.Nintendo should have made another Mario game like this one. It even has the classic Mario bosses, like Mouser, that 3-headed snake thingy, and Wart. This game is so awesome, that I prefer it over Super Mario Bros. 3/Super Mario Advance 4! Nintendo just HAS to make a remake/sequel(with the same ideas, objective, and controls) for the Wii or DS, or even Gameboy with extra and new stuff!
Rated 6 out of 10 by DKandDK mario's weirdest game
Super mario bros. 2 is mario's weirdest game but it also is his worst that isn't a sidescroller. First of all it includes mario games' left outs like Birdo and shy guy. It includes no usual enemies like koopa troopas and bowser. Mario's creator even stole the idea of this game from a game called Doikie Doike panic. Birdo is the boss at every level. It is pretty fun, but i just dont think it meets the mario criteria.
Rated 9 out of 10 by Jamesboyadvance Great, amazing,
I L-O-V-E love this game. A perfect start for the Super Mario Advence series. It's the most different game of the Advance series and probaly the 2nd best 1 of the bunch. What I love about this game is that everyone has there own ability. Mario ranges in all three abilities, Luigi is the highest jumper, Toad is the strogest and fastest, and peach can fly.The bosses are cool and it's just a great game.
Rated 8 out of 10 by pokeman4512 Good, but really weird
This game is okay. What's weird about it is that you can't kill enemies by jumping on them. You have to jump on them, then pick them up and throw them into a different enemy to kill them. But other than that, the worlds are great, and so are the levels. A good game for all ages.
