Super Dodge Ball - Used 7 10 1 1

Fun but Simple ======== Gameplay ======== The gameplay mechanics in this game are rather simple, but so is the game of dodgeball. Though, this game does make a few changes to the game to make it a bit more interesting. A few of the changes include being able to jump over the center line. This allows you to get closer to the opposing player giving them a smaller window of opportunity to catch your throw. The game also provides all of the players with HP bars. So a single hit isn't going to take you out of the game. You also won't be taken out of the game if an opposing players catchers your throw. There are a few more changes as well, but I'll leave that for you to discover. The game also allows for super throws or speciality throws as I prefer since they tend to be unique to certain characters. These super throws are activated by running three steps and then throwing the ball. If you act to early or to late you'll just perform a running throw. ======== Graphics ======== It feels like the norm for the Gameboy Advance. The game is rather colorful, though some character design choices are questionable. A few players on the Canadian team where Tengu masks. And one team is composed entirely of players that look identical, except for one that has a change in color palette. ======== Sound ======== I can't say that I particularly focused on this aspect of the game. The sound wasn't terrible, but it didn't really stick out either. ======== Lasting Appeal ======== I've only played this game on normal difficulty, and that took only around 1 - 3 hours to breeze through. This is rather disappointing on the surface, but the game does offer options to change settings for you to increase the skill of the AI, and the raise the strength of your offense, defense, and the power of your super throws. So, playing with those settings you could make the game easier or more difficult. ======== Scores ======== Gameplay: 9 Graphics: 7 Sound: 5 Lasting Appeal: 7 Overall: 7 8/4/12
