Pokemon LeafGreen is one of the best games you would ever see in the market. No wonder it is actually really hard to find. As you might know, LeafGreen is based on the first Pokemon games. Most of the music is remixed, as far as I'm concerned. The first Pokemon games were GREAT, but these - were AWESOME. LeafGreen once again reintroduces still sprites of Pokemon, and introduces the Sevii Islands, which are really cool. Even they add Johto Pokemon, which is awesome, because you get to expand your collection, and you can trade from Ruby and Sapphire, which is totally cool. Also, you get different Pokemon like Magmar, which is not available in FireRed. So, on my opinion, I think LeafGreen is recommended if you want to exxperience the Kanto games in a new way.

This game is awesome, but why can't you get it new? The gameplay is great, and the controls are awesome. The newer games seem to, how shall I put it, get in the way of the old, classic games, like Leaf Green, now it's being overrun by newer Pokemon games, like Black and White, (Not that I don't like Black or White). The controls are great, and also the story line, it's a bummer that the 3DS can't play it. The whole game is fun, and the game throws in some challenges as well. If you're new to the world of Pokemon, I recommend you get this game (and also, some people that only know of the newer games, might find it amusing to see how the world of Pokemon changed over a long time). The sound is, (at least to me) somewhat annoying (like in every Pokemon game), and the graphics aren't the best (I am used to playing 3DS games, and, well the graphics in this game isn't as good), but I find it enjoyable after playing Pokemon Heart Gold. In my opinion, in every Pokemon game, the gameplay gets somewhat repetitive, since all you do is go around battling trainers, so I can't play it for hours on end (well, no game I can play for hours, but, you get the picture), but many people I know don't seem to be bothered by this drama...

this game is just a remake but is just as good as any other game of pokemon series you might have have played . this game includes good graphics okay story although it is basically the same in every game the professor will give you a pokedex and you then try to get every pokemon and even then you must beat the elite four champs but in this game after the elite four your rival is waiting and is actually pretty challenging. for reason i can not explain but the originals are better maybe its because that is one of the first games like this i dont know the gamplay is easy to master it is pretty long for a game like this and the sound is great. I would deffinitly recommend this to others . also try fire red versoin or doimond and pearl for the ds.

Man this game rules. Leaf Green and Fire Red, which are almost identical games, are probably the best pokemon games ever made. I got this game a long time ago and still play it today. It's worthy of 200+ hours of play per save file. The only real negative with this game is that you can have only one save file, so you have to overwrite your first game if you want to play another. THIS is what pokemon is all about. The DS and the new Pokemon have been pushing the Pokemon franchise making it worse when it was already a great game. They are so desperate that they are just making up Pokemon with stupid names and putting them in the game really killing what the original Pokemon are all about. This game does not have that, all the Pokemon are great and recognizable for a Pokemon fan. If you are looking for a Pokemon game, get Leaf Green/Fire Red or Ruby/Emerald/Sapphire, which are in fact the best Pokemon games, not the most recent ones. Leaf Green is basically a restored and improved version of the originals we loved. It would be awesome if they remade and restored Leaf Green again because it would for sure be the best Pokemon game ever. Overall, if you are looking to enter the world of Pokemon, get this game, or any of the other games from this generation, not the newer ones. Thumbs up for this awesome Pokemon game!

i had a dose of nostalgia a couple weeks ago when i put down my pokemon platinum version and brought out the GBA with leaf green version still in the slot. As soon as i heard the title screen it brang back so many good memories of my journey through the kanto region. The graphics are pretty good considering it came out in 2004. The gameplay is simple and thats all it really needs to be. I will remember this game always as my first pokemon game. i was hooked from the moment i chose my squirtle to the moment my rival was defeated and i became the champion. i think any fan of the pokemon series must play this game in order to truly experience pokemon

This game may be the greatest pokemon game I've ever played!! I like both pokemon Firered and Leafgreen, I just prefer Leafgreen due to the pokemon differnces, I think Leafgreen has cooler pokemon. Anyway, Leafgreen doesn't only offer excellent graphics for its day and age, it also has the classic storyline of the Generation I games. But the biggest blend of things that the remake has to offer is the classic original pokemon like Blastoise, Snorlax, and Zapdos, but with the addition of the new moves introduced in Generations II and III! I've played pokemon since I was six and I'm not planning to stop soon. Gotta catch 'em all!

I broke my DSi a short while ago, so I later found myself digging up my old Gameboy Advance SP console and playing a few of my old GBA games. Since I'm a nerd (oh yeah! 8D) and I still play Pokemon often, the first game I popped in was my old Pokemon LeafGreen. Restarting it, I still found myself loving the game more than ever. Although it may not be as advanced as the newer ones and such, Pokemon LeafGreen is still a great game with the basic storyline. Get your first Pokemon and Pokedex from Professor Oak, get a rival, train your Pokemon in your epic quest to become the new Pokemon Master. . . The graphics are the same as all the retro Pokemon games - and they were pretty good considering what games were like before, and I always found the older ones to have a good challenge and a bit longer length than most of the new ones, so those are great too. This is still a fantastic game to play, especially for those people who used to like classic Pokemon with Brock and Misty and such. The newer ones may not be to your taste, but I've found very few people who can't admit to enjoying the older Pokemon. So, if you're one of the people who've finished the newer Pokemon, more into the old Pokemon and those neat old retro games, or just want to relive your childhood, games like Pokemon LeafGreen, Pokemon FireRed, Pokemon Emerald, Ruby, and Sapphire are the games for you! You gotta love the classics! 8D

I used to have all of the pokemon GBA games. My Sapphire is lost, my FireRed traded for guidebooks, my Ruby drowned in vomit, my LeafGreen stolen by a family "friend". At least I have my Emerald, the first game I ever owned. The part where the name is shown is silver from wear. WHATEVER. This game was available online for a couple of weeks before christmas. How hard can it be to sell it online? If gamestop sold these online I would buy every single Pokemon GBA game before buying a lot of them on eBay.

My Most Favorite Pokemon Remake Game Ever :D, the pokemon, the gym leaders, and the cities and most of all, the epic battle theme similar to the classic red and blue version, if you get to see this game on display at gamestop, you have too buy it, a must have in my recommendation to any pokemon lovers and 1geniers , it won't disappoint i'll assure you :) i have two leaf greens and a fire red and i play them more than my newer pokemon games, still prefer them than the newer games, but still a fan of all of pokemon games :D
