Pokemon Fire Red (and Leaf Green) are remakes of the original pokemon red and blues versions. The game brings the sound, gameplay, and graphics to the gba standards and ads some additional content and pokemon from other games in the series that were not in the original two games. Like all other pokemon games, you play a young pokemon trainer wanna be and set out to become the best trainer in existence by catching all breeds of pokemon, battling trainers, gym leaders, rivals, and finally defeating the elite four. In my personal opinion the story is the only truely weak part of the franchise. Pokemon is a fairly open ended game with very little character development so if you are looking for a story you should try other rpgs. However, the modern versions of the original soundtrack, the upgraded graphics, and the additional content and pokemon not only make it a very impressive game that many people even casual gamers could enjoy but make it worth a buy for long time fans of the series who had the original games.

Nintendo has improved a lot of making FireRed better than Pokemon Red. All the game play is more animated than the original. The differences it shares is the animation. The original concept had so many glitches, unlike FireRed. The remade is more better. Because you can finally see your Pokemon move on the Pokemon selection screen. And also, you can finally making your Pokemon trainer run in the game, unlike the original. Anyways, the sounds has a higher quality than Pokemon Red. Pokemon Red's sounds are very loud and lacks a little bit of the feedback to your ears. Unlike Pokemon FireRed, the volume of the sound is more normal than the Pokemon Red. The controls are pretty much the same as the original version. Anyways, this remade version of Pokemon Red has added new locations, which made the game more challenging than the original concept. I would definitely recommend this game to all those Pokemon gamers!! It's really good of a game.

many people would look at this game and say "look its clearly a nintendo cash in I mean its a remake." many people will define it as the poor remake that was just there to stall for the new pokemon games of course these are people who probally have never played it or just dont know a great game when they see it. pokemon fire red is one of the remakes of pokemon red and blue or green it has updated graphics and locations. now I know that doesn't seem much but considering the graphics of red and blue this is a really big improvement the and the combat while still similar to red and blue is much more fast paced so it wont get boring as fast as say diamond or pearl. plus it gives you the sevi islands to explore after you beat the game you can also trade between ruby, sapphire, and emerald you will also need it if you want to complete your pokedex in the fourth generation pokemon games of course dont think of it as a momentary annoyance to enhance your pokemon diamond pearl experience, think of it as a fun fufilling maybe nastalgic experience of course I dont need to tell you what you will already figure out on your own.

Before heartgold and soul silver there was a game called firered i mean thats the reason your reading this review. On pokemon firered you can trade, catch and train pokemon. All on the game boy i mean who dont like pokemon.Your quest is to play as Reed, fith all the gym leaders, cath pokemon and complet your pokedex. All in the kanto reigon.defet team roket and catch a charizard. As you know pokemon are divided by tipes ,fire ,water, poison, tiny pokemon, electric, bird, tiny bird ,fly, gost and mouse type pokemon. In your journy you can battle with other trainers ,level up your pokemon and evolve your pokemon . thanks to nintendo now you can battle whith your friends with the game boy wireless adapter. You can now trade pokemon with other pokemon versions like dimond pearl, emrald ,heartgold ,soulsilver leavegreen.

I've played pokemon games since it was made and this is my favorite I recomend it for all lovers of pokemon it got nice graphics storyline like the first pokemon red version the sounds good and u like pokemon like charizard or dratini or even squirtle! This is the best at showing the old pokemon in a newer reigion.Awesome controls I could tell what they wer because the screen shows bue at a part and will tell or remind you of the controls when you need reminded it also tells of the weaknees of each type of pokemon and the strengths and its a challenge getting through victory road but other than that its pretty good. The game goes on even when you beat the game you go to these island and if you ask me theres a celebi in there and you see a girl from the elite four in there so yeah it awesome game.

I got pokemon firered as my first pokemon game. It was very good. It's pretty challenging for somebody who has never played a game like this before but still, a great first pokemon game. You can catch the first 150 pokemon at first, but when you get the national pokedex, you can catch johto region pokemon [phanpy, azumaril, etc.] Once i got in to pokemon, I realized that there are better pokemon games[ diamond and pearl, gold and silver, and crystal] have a better story, better characters, and better pokemon. Still, a must have for pokemon fans new and old. Get diamond and pearl after you get this since they're more challenging. This game is also a good first because it introduces you to the original 150 pokemon. Diamond and pearl start you off with pokemon in the 390s. Will keep you coming for more.

in this review, i'm going to compare this to pokemon yellow. the graphics in firered/leafgreen looks better than pokemon yellow graphics. it's like the graphics got a major update in leafgreen/firered. in pokemon yellow, it just says (in my case, Gambler wants to battle) in firered/leafgreen, it would say "gambler hugo (or whatever) wants to fight. that somehow enhances the game experience for me. also, the original red/blue/yellow were so buggy. leafgreen/firered aren't buggy (ex. not being able to do the mew trick) too bad that you don't get squirtle/charmander/bulbasaur the way you did in yellow (if you aren't familiar with yellow, you get charmander on your way to bill, the pokemaniac, and you don't have to beat misty to get charmander. to get bulbasaur, you have to beat misty and then talk to some woman. to get squirtle, you have to beat Lt.surge.) also, the music sounds better than pokemon yellow. i never got the running shoes in pokemon yellow (is this supposed to happen?) and in leafgreen/firered, the running shoes animations looks polished. and btw, before you start giving me mean comments and stuff, let me say this. firered and leafgreen are pretty much the same thing, except for some minor differences (exclusive pokemon).

Pokemon Fire Red version for the gameboy advance is a great classic. It's a remake from the original Red version for the Gameboy and gameboy colour. It makes no sense I explain about this game cause if your a boy fan you know all about it and for those who don't sorry a review still can't explain how amazing this classic is. Gameplay, graphics, sound and contents everything about this game is a masterpiece. No matter how old you are, your never old enough to stop play pokemon. Fire Red version even until now is a great and memorable pokemon game. Even if your not interested in the gameboy advance versions your still free to explore the Kanto region in Pokemon heart gold and soul sliver for the DS. AMAZING GAME HERE.
