Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town
very additive game
this was my very first harvest moon game ever. ive never heard of it and wasnt familiar with the series (mostly cus i was 5). i stared at the cover and said, "wat is this game? i dont wanna play it!" but later that night i decided to play it. boy, i was a tired pup in the morning. i stood up until 2 in the morning playing. the gameplay is very simple. u are tired of your boring life in the city and got tricked by a brochure and moved here to start a new life. the town is called mineral town, and it has many festivals and events. you have a choice of 4 bachelors, and can marry them. there r certain requirements to marry them though. then you can have a baby, but it stops growing after she learns how to walk. GREAT GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THE Best RPG For The GBA. EVER.
I bought Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town shortly after the second crashing of my Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town, which was after some seven years of gameplay and only five years through the game. I never figured out on the first game how you got one of the bachelorettes to marry you. I was clueless when it came to the wooing and all... ANYWAYS, after the second time it crashed and all the data from both saved games was wiped clean, I sadly and hesitantly put down HM: FoMT. FOR GOOD. Shortly after I heard of the supposed sequel, Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town, I was more than eager to get my hands on it. I HAD to get my hands on it. When I DID finally get my hands on it, I had forgotten to do one extremely important thing in the game: think of the name for my character. I eventually ended up using the names for your character, your dog, and your farm that were in the instruction booklet. Not the best way to start out a new game. I put that slip-up aside and kept playing. I fell in love with the game play. Playing as the girl, I found myself more comfortable than playing as the opposite gender... From the first game I always thought Cliff was kinda cute...:3 I was ecstatic to find out he was one of the eligible bachelors. Within three years of the game I was married to that Cliff. :) Still playing after two years (in real life), I am now expanding everything I kind of forgot to in my rush-to-get-married-and-beat-the-game-ALREADY, my addiction to the game the fuel. I now have six chickens, three cows, and only two sheep. :3 I now have had over one hundred thousand gold at any given time and still have to beat my record of only a meager twenty thousand earned in one day. XD I know that there's a baby on the game that you can have, and I can't wait!! :D If you're looking for the kind of game that has plenty of one-more-minute, hold-on-I'm-almost-done, and I-can't save-right-now-I'm-in-the-middle-of-something moments, then Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town is just for you.
I must say it was amazing for a HM game.
Now, when it comes to HM I tend to love all of them but this game was insanely addicting. You play as a girl farmer trying to make a living while also wooing one of the potential bachelors. I think they don't usually try as hard on the guy's appearance than they did on the girl's appearances in Friends of Mineral Town. I for one went after Doctor. He looked decent, PLUS HE'S A DOCTOR. Anyway, now the story line is good too. As usual it contains the Harvest Goddess and once you give her enough gifts, she awakens. She blesses crops. Now, there isn't much of a challenge since it's just a farming sim but if you ask me it can get pretty tough in some seasons. Though there is the Harvest Sprites who eventually help you with farm work and other things. The graphics are very good for it's generation. But not insanely good. Like I said earlier I found myself on school nights on the computer just playing this game non-stop. Btw, yes I did play it on an emulator because I was too lazy to go buy the game when I could just play it for free. Eventually my mom would yell, " GO TO SLEEP! NOW." and I didn't. I'm so bad. :3 I can't say much for the music and/or sound because half the time I had the speakers off so I just didn't listen to that. Also the controls are very easy to get a hang of but yet again, I am speaking out of me on my emulator....so what I mean to say is that the controls, if are set right, can make the game a better experience. Right now I am actually going to go and buy the game for real so i could play it on my SP and enjoy that and connect it to my HM:AWL game. Overall, I think anyone who plays Harvest Moon games should play this one. It's like, MANDATORY.
