Duel Masters: Shadow of the Code
A TCG to add to your collection
Pros: a balanced strategic card based game that doesn't get boring
cons: only 600 cards
This game is worth buying, but would have been worth preordering if it came with some type of card
Okay this game doesn't sound or look pretty, but it is sure fun. It can compete with video games like yugioh if it had more than just 600 cards. At the beginning of each turn you draw a card. Then you have the option of sacrificing one to put into your mana. There are 5 civilizations: nature, fire, light, dark, & water. Then there are several races like humans, liquid people, dragons, and etc... To play a card you must have at least one mana of its' corresponding civilization and then enough mana for what ever it requires. Some creatures can only block, attack, or do both. Some have effects, others don't, and there are spell cards in the game. Each player begins with 5 shields that are chosen randomly from your deck. Once that shield is broken you put that card into your hand. Some cards have trigger affects which allow you to play them on the turn it was broken without any additional cost for mana. If your opponent attack you directly once then you lose the duel.
You can play against other people and when you begin the game. You can choose whether or not you want a premade deck and your difficulty setting. This is the game in a nut shell and sadly, this is currently the last installment of the series.
