Pros: get a rare promo card
cons: gameplay is just slow and hard to browse through
You would have to pay me to play this game and I would only preorder it for the promo card
Okay here is the deal. One of the most exciting part of a trading card game is building your own deck. So what does that mean? You need a good search engine within the game. Well this game doesn't really have one and to top it off. When you start playing the game the battle system is pretty slow and starts to get boring real quick. Even your worst yugioh trading card video game can do better than that. This was a disappointment and I am a DBZ fan. I'm guessing only the hard core ones can withstand the poor quality of this game.

Gameplay: The game does follow the rules of the actual card game. Or at least I'll assume that it does seeing as I've never played the actual card game, but the game still suffers in this area do to long load times. The game takes way to much time in telling you what your opponent's doing and applying the affects of your own cards. It makes the game move at a snail's pace and renders the game boring to the point of almost being unplayable.
The game also offers little in terms of explanation on how to play the game. The in-game tutorial is mostly useless since it basically just explains the basics of attacking and defending but it doesn't explain how the various win styles work. It doesn't explain how to increase your personality or why increasing your personality would allow you to win. The game is a rather unclear mess that isn't well designed for beginners or the curious.
Graphics: The in-game graphics are rather decent for a trading card game. All of the cards are rather clearly shown and it shows you the picture on the card. And considering the game includes a little over 300 cards in total there are a lot of cards to look at. On the downside a lot of the backgrounds are a rather dull, boring gray.
Sound: The game seems to basically play a single song from the show the entire time. While this track is rather nice. It does get old after a while even if you are a fan of the show.
Recommendations: If you are a fan of the actual card game then you'll probably enjoy this game. If you aren't a fan then I'd advise avoiding this game at all cost, and if you are just curious about this game I'd give it a pass as well.
Rated 4 out of 10 by warl381 not super good.
when I first got this game I thought that it was going to be really fun just like the actual card game, but the only way to play it with other people is to use the cord, and the other person also has to have a gameboy advance, this game was made for playing with other people and it failed at that. :(
