Rated 4 out of 5 by from Avatar the Last Airbender: Burning Earth (GBA) ======== Story ======== Avatar the Last Airbender: Burning Earth basically covers the events of Book 2, but doesn't go into a lot of the details. On the plus side it is nice to see a game that follows the plot line of the show even it skips over a lot of the details, but it skips over so many of the details and the events of the series that it feels like a very poor representation of the series as well. ======== Gameplay ======== While this game includes puzzles like the last GBA outing. The puzzles are a lot more limited and are largely comprised of switch puzzles. The game does offer a bigger emphasis on combat, but many of the characters are rather weak in terms of offensive abilities. This lack of hitting power will often frustrate you since the game tries to force you to use defensive abilities like parry and reflective shield abilities to deal with your enemies. This game also suffers from being extremely short with the game being comprised of eight main story missions and five unlockable missions. Sadly, one of those five unlockable missions is just trying to beat the entire game in a single run. And another disappointment is that you need to beat all of the main missions with an A ranking to get access to the bonus missions. ======== Graphics ======== Graphically the game is rather typical for the GBA but I do miss the manga graphic cut-scenes that were in the previous game. Now the characters have rather small character portraits in the bottom corner to indicate who is talking. ======== Sound ======== The soundtrack is still rather pleasant even if the tracks themselves are background music that will be quickly forgotten. It manages to do its job and that is all that matters in the long run. ======== Lasting Appeal ======== The game does offer some replay value since you'll need to beat the stages multiple times in order to get an A ranking on all of the main missions in order to get access to the additional content. And to access the "single run" mission you'll need to get an A ranking on missions 9 - 12 as well. ======== Scores ======== Gameplay: 6 Graphics: 8 Sound: 8 Lasting Appeal: 5 Overall: 6.83

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great gameplay, but short unless I missed sumthing Great gamplay, but I only got to play 7 levels, unless I missed something. I did not get to play as momo, and it would have made a great rpg but I'm happy!
