Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOO! I love anything Mortal Kombat, so of course. But anyhow, it's also neat to see how far the game has come.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Disappointing What went wrong? I’m not saying it’s bad, but compared to the last two, Mortal Kombat: Armageddon is a few steps in the wrong direction. Sure it features almost every character in all of the MK games (Even Sareena from Sub-Zero Mythologies, the sub-boss from MK2, Kintaro, and Meat, who is a glitch!) This one features the traditional modes of play: Arcade, Versus, Practice and Konquest (Read my review of Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance to lean about these). A new diversion is Motor Kombat (Like Chess and Puzzle Kombat were in Mortal Kombat: Deception). Motor Kombat is a racing game a little like Mario Kart. You pick from Baraka, Bo’Rai Cho, Johnny Cage, Cyrax, Jax, Kitana, Mileena, Raiden, Sub-Zero and Scorpion. This is extremely fun, especially with four players. The story of this game is that all of the fighters are battling it out to reach the top of a pyramid to fight Blaze, after they win, they will be granted immense power. That’s the same as arcade goes. After that you get an ending that is narrated as you’re winning character practices his moves! And you can’t playback the ending! Not good. Also gone are character specific fatalities. You know fatalities, the things that made the first Mortal Kombat such a success? They have been replaced by generic fatalities that have you punching people, and kicking them and it’s just not good. The ever-changing Konquest mode is now a plat-forming adventure game. I liked learning the character moves in Moral Kombat Deception! There is no such thing here. At the end of Konquest, if you collected all the trinkets in the game, you get to unlock Blaze, Meat, Taven and Daegon. The thing is, you can enter a cheat code to unlock these anyway. There isn’t much of a reason to play Konquest unless you’re bored. Don’t get me wrong, Kombat is as good as ever, with tons of arenas to play in. You know the Deathtraps and stuff from Mortal Kombat: Deception? You get Koins for doing that now. The Koins and the Krypt have been changed for the worse. It tells you what is in the ‘Koffin’ before you open it. It not a cemetery, its a mausoleum now. And the Kurrency system has just one type of Koin, Gold. Some people may like these two changes to the Krypt, but I don’t at all. The graphics are good, but I the characters are too skinny, and you only have two styles, hand-to-hand and weapon, but that’s just me being picky. That’s my review, I haven’t played Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe yet, but I hope Midway doesn’t do the same thing they did with Mortal Kombat: Armageddon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome game!!! the mortal kombat series has always been great but armegedon just takes it over the top!!It has great visuals great charecter animations.Plus a all new fatality system that works well with the controller and is perfectly balanced to pull of whether your new to the series it will be a great experience. The kombat s sharp and respovsive.ANd crewating a charecter is fun easy and theres like 50+ combinarions and the deatail is mind blowing!!!!the combos and special moves rule.them special effects are great.I highly recomend this game.conquest is good the.And the story is also good.Overall awesome game!!!
