You have to get this game.
Metal Gear Solid is the series' first leap into the third dimension, and it is great. GAMEPLAY: Nice stealth/action gameplay. Sneaking around, getting into gunfights, its all fun. GRAPHICS: For a PS1 game, the graphics are amazing. SOUND: Great sound effects and an awesome soundtrack. LASTING APPEAL: Once you play this game, you'll be hooked. I've played this game countless times, and it never gets old. Overall, this is an instant classic and you have to try it.

Instant classic.
This game is really good. I just beat it. All I can say is, this game is wonderful. Instead of just being a shooter game, this is a stealth game. The story, characters, and areas are all very well put together.

EPIC IN 1998, STILL EPIC TODAY...
Best PS1 game of its time and still one of the greatest games ever made. THE STORY AND SOUND ITS ONE OF THE BEST EVER.
When It comes to the PS-ONE, Metal Gear Solid will rank #1 or in the top 5 of the Best PS1 games ever in any top list.

The best of the PSone
Easily the best PSone game of all time. The only competition to gamers is really Final Fantasy 7.

a true ps1 classic
this may be an old game, but the stealth is still really fun, there's a lot of strategy, and this has an interesting story to. but, the save system is a little unusual, the checkpoints aren't perfect, and the health system is a problem, due to few rations to replenish your health (and this gets hard if you get caught and have low health) but this is a really fun stealth game that's easily the best ps1 game

The Classic Stealth Game Returns
The game that reinvented the 3D stealth genre returns on the PSP. I've played through the game several times and its just fantastic. The controls take a little while to get used to but after that are just fantastic. The graphics have that classic Time Crisis arcade feel and are really interesting. This game is a fantastic buy at ten dollars. Any fans of stealth, or Metal Gear Solid should but this.

i love metal gear solid an have almost every game. but metal gear solid 1 for psp is the worst game ever it is just terrible i do not recommend this to anyone it is annoying throughout the hole game.

BEST GAME OF ITS TIME!
Metal Gear Solid is the greatest game out of all the other Metal Gear games. Although some of the bosses are a headache, they are very simple after you played the game over and over again. Twists at every turn of the game, it's the game that will keep you on your feet until you beat the whole game and get the special items (Bandana & Stealth).
