Rated 10 out of 10 by JLime Wonderful Title
Legend of Mana was actually one of the first games I bought for my original Playstation, and I couldn't have picked a better game. Not only is it an incredible RPG with a ton of side quests along with a great main quest and storyline, it has everything that later RPG's emulated as well. A pet system, forging, refining, farming (in a sense), golem creation, massive skill system, many different weapon classes, just amazing. Casual and hardcore gamers alike, I suggest this game to you. If you want an RPG that you can play over and over again and have it be a different adventure every time, as well as just simply being satisfying and enthralling every time you run the disc, then I suggest this game. It's a definite keeper.
Rated 7 out of 10 by AngryLime It was good but not great
I absolutely loved secret of mana. It is on my top 20 favorite games for many reasons so coming into this game I thought it would be better. I hate to admit that I was wrong. This game is very different than secret of mana in many ways. The gameplay is different, that navigation and movement is different, just about everything is different. I liked the graphic style to a certain degree and the music was very good. As far as the story goes.. well I just couldn't get into it. I personally wouldn't recommend this game over most classic RPGs but if you are looking for a quality game then this game should be given a shot.
Rated 4 out of 10 by OrigGamer have nothing better to do until skyrim comes out??
Short and simply... I honestly think the first "Mana" game (being "Secret of Mana") was the *best game between the two. The graphics are about the best thing really. There isn't enough direction in the game and it seems to have more fillers than you can count (fillers meaning useless moves, items, etc...) If you're looking for a cheap rpg game I would recommend Alundra, or Final Fantasy VII which you can get on the PSN... or Chrono Trigger for the DS (Best RPG of all time). If you liked the first mana game, I would say that you would probably be disappointed with what they did to the game in this "sequel."
Rated 10 out of 10 by NoonManBoob Best game I EVER played for PS1
The graphics aren't the best in the world bc its a PS1 game, but I loved playing this game when I was a kid. U can choose to be a girl or boy at the start and the battle style is free roam. A menacing EVIL doer is destroying the world u so love and its up to u to save and put it back together again. U can make the world the way u see fit, and it has an awesome smithing feature in it. U can actually make ur own weapons if u want or buy them from merchants. Of course, u meet friends along the way. Fantastic game for anyone who like anime style, 2D graphics and the music in the game is awesome.
Rated 10 out of 10 by Horo One of the best rpg's.
It's a good thing they brought this back. The day I played this on my friends house on his PsOne was amazing. The battle system is great and the abilities and leveling are just how I like my rpg's. The music in this game is some of the best you'll ever listen too, only second to Snowboard Kids from Nintendo 64. The graphics are good for what they are in this day, it's similar to a DS or PSP game now. (At the time it came out I was amazed by the graphics). The game is great and fairly straightforward. It's only 5.99, definitely worth it.

This is one of my very favorite games that I've been looking for for 5 years! It's a great game considering it is for the PS1. I love everything about this game and I've been looking for it on the web. But there's no way I'm going to pay $60 for a cd that might be a mess. For $6 I think this is a steal!
