Product Details:

Gears of War: Judgment" delivers the most intense and challenging "Gears" game yet, with a campaign that takes you back to the immediate aftermath of Emergence Day - the defining event of the "Gears of War" universe - for the very first time, and tests your mettle in highly-competitive new multiplayer modes.

A Riveting Campaign
Set years prior to the events of the previous "Gears of War" trilogy, "Judgment" centers on Kilo Squad, a troop of soldiers led by Damon Baird and Augustus "The Cole Train" Cole. They are joined by newcomers to the "Gears" series Sofia Hendrick and Garron Paduk, as they attempt to save the besieged city of Halvo Bay from a terrifying new enemy.

Playable cooperatively with up to three friends on Xbox LIVE (four players total), "Gears of War: Judgment" depicts the planet Sera on the brink of annihilation by an unstoppable new Locust menace, giving you a new vantage point into one of the richest and most acclaimed sagas in gaming.

Marking a first for the "Gears" franchise, "Gears of War: Judgment" features a "Misson Declassification" system that lets players experience more challenging gameplay scenarios and achievements by uncovering critical information during the course of the campaign.

Faster and More Intense Combat
"Gears of War: Judgment" delivers a riveting gameplay experience that gets back to basics and captures the true essence of "Gears" combat, and introduces a new style of combat that's faster-paced and more actionpacked than ever before.

"Gears of War: Judgment" introduces a new Smart Spawn System [S3] for both campaign and multiplayer action. This new system ensures each encounter is unique and new, as types, timing and locations of enemies change with each new encounter.

Explosive New Multiplayer Experiences
"Gears of War: Judgment" introduces brand-new multiplayer experiences, including OverRun, a thrilling new class-based competitive mode that pits Locust and COG soldiers in a head-to-head battle unlike anything "Gears" fans have experienced yet.

An objective-oriented mode that lets 5-player teams alternate between playing as Locusts and COG soldiers, OverRun marks the first time that a class-based, competitive multiplayer experience has been introduced in the "Gears of War" series, and amps up the addictive gameplay with a deep player progression system layered on top of the experience.

Additional game modes will be announced at a later time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's playable There is a lot to discuss about this game but I'm going to keep it brief. It's not as good as the first three Gears of War games by far. It's not good or bad but it's playable, not worth playing, playable. I loved the idea that this game is a prequel to the first Gears of War game and when I first heard about it, I thought it would be awesome but when I saw reviews for this game, I stayed away from it for two years but the day after Christmas, I picked it up and gave it a shot and the disappointment began to sit in. I really hate how some of the controls in the game had been changed and it really sucks. Once you get the hang of it, it's not too bad but you would find yourself preferring the controls from the first three game a lot better. Judgment does have a 'villain' but he's BARELY in the game and he only appears twice and that's about it. Critics gave this game WAY too much credit by giving it either a '4/5' or even a '9/10', where in reality, it doesn't hit any of those marks. This is just a game with a score of '6/10' and that's about it. If the developers could've kept what made the first three amazing to start with, this would've been the one that every Gear-head would talk about.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gears of War: Judgment Review Gears of War: Judgment is a prequel shooter to the Gears of War Series made by Epic games with help from People can Fly. This game takes you on the journey of Baird, Cole, Paduk, and Sofia, while they deal with the incoming locust horde and Karn. So first off in the review is graphics they were ok nothing outstanding but good for gears the lighting was good for the environment really no major complains to compliments. Next is gameplay this was good as well shooting, chain sawing etc. was smooth and committed to the gears style, the problem was with movement and AI. As with all gears movement can be a major pain, whether clinging onto unwanted walls or barriers to mover around obstacles etc. and to sprint is awful the camera flails and you duck your head, it just has never worked well. Then to the AI they can't really do anything your really on your own most of the time, they take forever to revive you if they come at all sometimes, and can't hit the broad side of a barn with their bullets. Next was sound which I thought was well done with good voice acting and dialogue, to music that set the scene very well. I was overall very pleased with this. Lastly is the overall appeal with a good story that took a page from Gears 3 in how to story tell it kept me entertained while playing it, along with a decent multiplayer experience, but not as fun as Gears 3 but was still fun. I would say the overall appeal is relatively high. Overall I would give this game a 8.25 due to good gameplay, excellent sound, and decent graphics, coupled with terrible AI and poor movement controls I would recommend this game to any shooter fan or people who like a gore-filled game.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A decent game. This was a pretty good game on its own, but compared to the other Gears of War games it was a big let down. I would recommend getting it if you are a Gears of War fan either to have beaten all the games or to complete your collection. Just don't go into it expecting what you got from the other games.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What!? Why so much hate? it has gameplay that is just as fun as gears 3 the only thing is that it doesn't have hoard but survival is fun and it has great multiplayer and campaign! I don't understand why people dislike it as much?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Evolution of Gears I'm looking at the reviews and people seem angry because the series evolved. I absolutely loved this game. The graphics are great and the control changes are welcome. There's a ton of replay value and I loved the way they handled the story. I can't recommend this game highly enough!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best gears(In my opinion) I think this gears is great. Gears of war is one of microsofts best games. The story is good but short than other Gears of wars. The multiplayer is way better than others though. Even then gears 3. So if you want it for good mutiplayer then buy it. For singleplayer, try gears of war 3.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome. Gears of War Judgement is the perfect game if you like Third Person Shooters. It has blood and gore, but you can toggle the strong language and blood in options.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Things wrong with Gears of War Judgement. I have to say this wasn't one of there best. The campaign along with the graphics where bad. The only two weapon assassination you can do look like garbage and they just took the multiplayer leader board and just copied and pasted it. They also trimmed down on the blood spatter a lot it looks more like a cartoon game then a die hard killing game. Very disappointed they took out all the weapon assassinations. Definitely wasn't happy with the new controller layout they should've just kept it the same.
