BattleStations: Midway is an immense action game that drops players into massive air, sea, and undersea battles from Pearl Harbor to Midway. Players command massive fleet attacks and take direct, real-time, control of every plane, battleship, and submarine in the battle. Battlestations: Midway blends intense 3rd-person action with epic, large-scale naval combat and brings to life the great Pacific battles of World War II. From the chaos of Pearl Harbor, through the Philippines, Java and the Coral Sea all the way to the epic Battle of Midway.

Innovative gameplay lets players take direct control of over 60 different warships, planes and submarines from a 3rd-person perspective. Players can instantly switch to and control every vehicle in the battle.

The Single Player mode features 11 large-scale campaigns with 12 bonus challenge missions. The online multi-player combat offers an entirely new online battle experience and features head-to-head and co-operative fleet battles featuring over 60 Allied and Japanese units.

* Revolutionary gameplay: Experience epic WWII combat from multiple perspectives as you jump between dozens of units, playing as a pilot, a gunner, a submarine captain or even a carrier fleet commander.

* Massive air, sea, and undersea battlefields: Every battle takes place simultaneously in the air, on and under the sea. Movement of your fleet and the individual efforts of any one vehicle is critical to success.

* Innovative online multiplayer mode: Huge multi-unit online battles with up to 8 players controlling over 60 units on Xbox Live.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from War Time Not a bad title. I went a little backwards and got this game after I owned Battlestations Pacific. This game is a bit dated and you can see that in the graphics and gameplay compared to new games and Battlestations Pacific. Although it doesn't destroy this game is does draw back on it though. You can command ships, airplanes, and subs, from what I played so far... Much like Battlestations Pacific but not as good. You play the story mode or "campaign" as the Americans. And try to lead us to a retaliation against those responsible for Pearl Harbor! There are challenges off the main menu which you can be on either side, but this is not story mode. All around the game isn't bad if graphics isn't an issue with you. If you are into war games, and history this is a game for you. Now for the tricky part. Would I recommend this title by Eidos, Yes I do. If you want to see how the series progressed I do. If you want the game that is more the "keeper" go with Battlestations Pacific!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from very good game I loved this game! There was a good gameplay but the graphics weren't the best, but this game is from 2007. The sound is perfect and the campaign is enough for this to have a decent lasting appeal but Eidos and Square Enix decided to throw extra challange missions into play like saving Tulagi where you play in Japanese Zero squadrons trying to protect your airfield, destroyers and seaplane hanger! Overall a very good game and I would reccomend this to anyone. I would also reccomend the sequel Battlestations: Pacific!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from really good game okay this is one of the best games ever if you like commanding and giving out orders and in the same time your being the person giving out orders then this is your game.in this game you command and control bases, submarines, planes, and ships your gonna love this game.the graphics are good i wasn't dissopointed at all with the graphics.the sound is actually very real i love it the storyline is pretty good to.this is a wwii game and its about you fighting the japenese and your name in the game is henry i forgot the rest of the name though.this is a very fun game and also they just don't have the campgain but they have challenges like mini-games you only fight as american but in the challenges you could fight as american and japenese they have a submarine challenge, ship challenge, and a plane challenge they have historical battles of the american and japenese of wwii.i really enjoyed this game i recommend this game to any rts found and other or so.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Battlestations Midway reporting for duty! If you like ships, submarines, destroyers, planes and aircraft carriers or just WWII games or both then this is the game for you. All the war vehicles I just mentioned are in this game. You fight in a fleet and can switch vehicles during gameplay. You play as Lieutenant Henry Walker and command ships. Small torpedo boats, submarines, aircraft carriers, and planes. I like this game but I think they should get some land action too like tanks and jeeps and on the ground like call of duty 4 or battlefield: bad company. Also xbox live on this game is fun cause you are fighting people and you get in teams for America vs. japanese military and the host can pick plane battles, or sea battles and its funner when there is a sea battle level because you can get an aircraft carrier that has planes anyway and if you have a submarine you can sneak up on somebody's ship from underwater and BOOM!!! Its cool sinking ships with torpedoes or bomb them with a plane but watch out cause if the player switches back to that ship he/she will start attacking you and just cause you in a submarine doesn't mean your safe people have radars and depth charges which are like bombs that drop from the ship and sink underwater but you can just go deeper. This is my first xbox360 game. I recommend this game to people who like the kinda stuff I just mentioned. I give this an 8 in recommendation.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Like RTSs? look this up This game is definitely not for the impatient gamer, if you do though you can have hours of enjoyment with this. And for you armchair Admirals out there, get off your helm and go out and buy this. After sitting through the lengthy Tutorial you will feel like a true captain/pilot. Online is truly where this game shines. Whether you’re sinking carriers, or bombing airfields you’ll have tons of fun. My favorite is listening to your opponent swears into his mic, after you torpedoed his ship from an Invisible Submarine. The game is slow but rewarding. It echoes of Star Trek Legacy, but on the water. If you liked that you’ll like this but it is not that visually impressive. And it has a huge learning curve. And the story line is laughable. If you stay with this game you’ll have hours of fun. If you can fly, dive it or sail it you’ll have fun
