Product Details:

Eleven years ago a horrific fire took Alice's family from her and left her mind horrifically scarred. Afterwards she was confined to Rutledge Asylum, where she struggled to confront her demons by slipping further into her fantasy world of Wonderland. Now, after ten years, she has finally secured her release - yet she still bears the heavy psychological burden of that tragic event. With her mind in tatters, she is unable to resolve the fear prompted by her strange memories, dreams, and visions. Perhaps she'll do better in Wonderland. She always has. She travels there, seeking what the "real" world can't provide: security, knowledge, and the truth about the past. But in her absence, Wonderland too has suffered. Something has gone horribly wrong, and now a great evil is descending upon what once was her beautiful refuge. Can Alice save Wonderland - and herself - from the madness that consumes them both?

  • Intense 3rd person action: Use multiple upgradeable melee weapons, including the explosive Teapot Cannon, the punishing Hobby Horse, and the classic Vorpal Blade.
  • Explore a dark and shattered Wonderland: Encounter familiar but now strange characters, including the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter, the Caterpillar and the Red Queen.
  • Magical abilities: Obtain peculiar abilities in Wonderland such as floating with Alice's dress, shrinking, or growing to towering sizes in order to crush enemies.
  • Interactive puzzles: Intuitive and rewarding puzzles such as transforming obstacles, musical memories, chess, and picture blocks.

Game Informer Rating:

Rated 6.75 out of 10 by Game Informer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super excited for a let down I am a huge Alice fan, and also a huge horror fan so I had high expectations. The game left me feeling a little empty inside. A few times the game became confusing to follow and it was almost a mix of childish and adult but not in a good way. The movie clips are intriguing, but sometimes it jumps around.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from An All-Time Favorite I only played a little bit of the original American Mcgee's Alice, but planned to return to it when I had time (I hardly play PC games). This game drew me in the moment I found out it was a sequel to be released on Xbox 360. It was even better finding out my copy came with a download for the original American Mcgee's Alice. I would have to say that playing and beating it in medium has been thrilling, and I'm currently playing through again after some time of a break in hard mode. I plan on replaying in Nightmare mode once I get my hands on some of the awesome DLC content. That being said, this game gets to be pretty intense and I would only suggest it for hardcore gamers with a morbid sense of humor. It plays much like an RPG, but also has some key horror elements to it that makes it similar to a horror survival experience. There's also some fun puzzles to play along the way and finding all the hidden collectibles can be challenging if you happen to overlook even a single area. The fighting system is one of the best I've seen, mostly because it is so quick and you have the ability to teleport in a flurry of butterflies right before a life threatening hit. The story is whimsical and very twisted, which I like, but there were a few minor disappointments. I would have liked to battle all of the characters head-to-head as boss battles, rather than dealing with similar enemies to what's been faced before. Also, the game seems a little rough, almost like it wasn't finished. The textures pop out of place or seem to be missing entirely in certain areas. It could have done with some refining before its release. Especially since I will run into little bugs here and there, such as being stuck in place or a delayed reaction with certain button commands. Still, this is a great game and despite its tiny flaws, there is a lot of content to get through (not a terribly short game), and it has good re-playable value.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun with Goth! I don't have to say much, The gameplay is solid but the true appeal of the game is it's art style and off-beat characters any fan of Goth or Emo motifs should pick this up immediately. Be warned though, it's a challenging game so all casuals should stay away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have. i bought this game after seeing just one trailer because i thought it looked amazing. i was most definitely not disappointed, after playing this game through to the finish it may have been my favorite hack and slash games to date

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A shaby game with nothing memorable about. The reason I gave it this score is because the appeal of playing quickly wears off shortly after playing it. The characters are bland, the camera is awful (most of the time you will find yourself falling into the emptiness), the weapon upgrades are basically the same weapons but with different colors, you have to fight unnecessary repetitive battles most times, the method of defeating the bosses are always almost the same (spam evasion) and halfway through theres nothing else more to discover (no more weapons, nothing). Occasionally a mini-game breaks the routine, but for the most part these are bland and have absolutely nothing to be worthy of praise. For example, on one occasion you are transported into a side scroll version of the game its all the same except its even worse. THERES NO WEAPONS, just you jumping and moving to the right side of the screen. I do not recommend it, there are better adventure, action games out there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What Happened to Gaming Society?! This game is AMAZING. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out to be. I spent forever and a day searching for it.(I preordered it and they sold my copy!) But once I got my hands on this game I knew I would never sell it back to gamestop (sorry its just too much fun). I was a little nervouse when I saw a couple ratings like a 2 and a 1, but then I read the reviews and seeing that they are based on typical political correctness I knew this game was going to be great. Yes its gorey, and yes its bloody. Thats why there is an M rating on it. And as far as being for kids...that could not be more wrong. Again it got an M, meaning 17+ which is what I would have expected this to be anyways. The original Alice book is strongly seen in the art and graphics of the game. The world literally bleeds madness. But again to say this game is not meant in anyway for kids and for that reason not receive a bad rating. The game makers took a chance and made something great. Good job guys!
