The Kung ZhuTM Warriors have sworn to protect the Zhu artifacts, but now they have been stolen! Your mission - restore peace and serenity and recover the missing artifacts!

  • You have only 9 hours before Junpei and his 8 fellow abductees drown. Numerology, music composition and logic puzzles are just a few of the 30+ obstacles that stand in the way of their freedom. You'll have to use everything in your environment to get out!
  • Solve the mysteries that cloud your companions' pasts, and unveil a disturbing future. Help everyone escape, but beware! A wrong decision or a careless mistake might put their lives in jeopardy. Experience 6 endings that are determined by the way you play!
  • Each hostage is cursed with a bracelet that displays a unique number. These numbers are the key to unlocking the 9 doors. Explore your surroundings for clues to unlock the next door by picking up and examining objects you find in each room. Create new tools by combining items you find to get out of dangerous situations and solve deadly puzzles.
  • Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors has 3 distinct gameplay types - novel, escape, and minigame. You must succeed in all of them to win the game and defeat Zero!
  • Information is revealed as the story progresses, and every little piece is important. The choices you make determine your path through the game, and affect what you find out...and what you don't.
  • Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors utilizes the Nintendo DS Touch Screen to immerse you in the world Junpei finds himself in, by allowing you to actively select specific items in the environment.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mystery filled fun. This game is for casual players or even hard core players. Your character wakes up to an unknown place and immediately you are thrown into a spiral or puzzles. You have to figure out the puzzle in order to escape alive. You can save at almost any time so you can always come back later. It is mostly a story telling game, and the further you go into the story, questions are answered but more pop up. 999 is the first of this series with two more following it. It is a fun game and I recommend it if you like puzzles, mystery, and a little terror. It reminds me a little bit of the movie Saw. I give it a 9/10. The controls are a little hard to get used to but other than that, it is a fun game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from messes me up every time okay literally SUCH a great game!!!it's reminiscent of the manga Doubt and it's so crazy!!!think of it as like escape the room:visual novel edition. The M rating is definitely real, especially if you're playing late at night like I've been doing. The mechanics are simple and going through the rooms themselves are fine, but the PLOT.Everything ties together in the weirdest ways and it makes you wonder like jeez I wish I can just tell everyone else what I already know from previous playthroughs.Because you have to play at least three times, like it's sooo addicting!I recommend it to everyone and anyone ^^

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Visual Novel, will keep you up at night! This game is one of my absolute favorite games ever. The story is everything in this game. If you like story-based games and are into thriller/mystery games (and don't mind reading a lot), then this is the perfect game for you. It starts off right in the action, and keeps the tension up throughout the entire game. The score is beautiful and haunting and I guarentee the night will come when you just can't sleep because you either can't put your DS down or you can't get the creepy score out of your head. Definitely worth checking out, I would recommend this game to everyone, even if you're not a big reader like me, this game will make every letter worth reading.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Engaging This game is not for kids, or those that are sensitive. However, it is the most engaging game I have ever played. AND it keeps me coming back. There is a lot of text, but the plotline is what is so wonderful about this game. Don't let that put you off. I got it on a recommendation from a GameStop employee, and I am really glad I did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best story i've seen in a while! this game has kept me on the edge of my seat for 5/6 endings! (haven't gotten the 6th yet), as stated in other reviews this game is mostly reading. so if you have qualms about reading walls of text this game is not for you! but be warned! you are missing out on a wonderful game~ the music is good, i've heard better, but it isn't horrible either. it fits the urgency and emotion of the scenes and doesn't distract from the puzzles. if you've played any of the "find your way out" games on ipod/ipad/iphone/computer/ect, that's essentially this game, just with a very well thought out story. i picked up this game on a whim and thanks to a few recommendations from a few people. i must admit i didn't have very high expectations, i'm not much for nintendo... not many of there games can keep me interested for long periods of time. not for Kids, graphic descriptions of gory deaths. Can't wait to return to the nonary game in Virtue's Last Reward this October!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 90% Reading, 9% Playing, 1% Morphic Resonance. This is the deepest and most interesting plot a DS game can have. I was surprised, disgusted, and even brought to tears (of happiness). **** This is a graphic adventure, not an 'action' game. No fighting or anything. Most of the game is READING!!! There are puzzles... and you get a TON of hints if you need them. **** 90% Reading/Talking, 9% Playing/Puzzles, 1% Morphic Resonance... ;) 100% Beauty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This will make you yell at your DS This game... I don't know where to start. It is amazing. Usually people will pass when it comes to text based games, but this game is different. Think a game like iSpy or Professor Layton but they got 20 years more mature. It has six multiple endings! Six! That is as much as Devil Survivor! But that isn't the best part, there is a new game plus! I mean, thats pretty legit for a text-based puzzle point-n-click. Needless to say, it will keep you up for a while. It also requires smarts and lots of time. So you kids looking for professor Layton, go elsewhere. Oh yeah, and why did I yell at my poor DS? Well, I got the bad ending (or one of them). But it wasn't that I got the bad ending, it was how the ending played out. It seemed that I was in the clear and winning the game but then... STAB.....*gurgle*.....I was dead.... That isn't keeping me away. No sir. It is worth the shouting and curling up in a ball while trying to solve one of Zero's puzzles. It truly is.
