A fun, short, and easy game
The Legendary Starfy is a fun, side-scrolling platforming game for the Nintendo DS. This game allows gamers to play as Starfy, a cute yellow sea star, and go on an adventure that takes him and his friends through 10 different worlds, each with their own individual stages and challenges. The controls are solid and easy to learn. The graphics are really nice and colorful and, in a way, seem like a Kirby game (which is not a bad thing). The music is fantastic in my opinion, sporting several songs that rank among my favorite out of any game for the Nintendo DS. The game also boasts a good story that is told through amazing cutscenes and flashbacks. Out of the 8 different worlds (each having around 3-4 individual levels, including 2-3 hidden levels), there are 2 extra bonus worlds that can be unlocked. There are also fun, little unlockable minigames that allow friends to join in the fun. Finally, there are certain levels in the game that allow 2 players to play together, as Starfy and Starly, and complete the level(s) together by using just one game card. However, I do have three downsides with this game. First, it is pretty short and can be beaten within a few days at most. Second, while it is true that there are extras, like a boss showdown mode and a toy gallery where you can collect figurines of all of the characters/enemies within the game, there is simply too little content to keep players coming back time and time again after beating the story and every level in the 10 different worlds. Third, this game is also pretty easy and seems to be intended for kids and younger gamers. Regardless of these issues, I still think this is a good game for the Nintendo DS.

amazing until you get stuck.
This game is amazing. The truth is I got this game about a year ago and i am still hooked. If you like adventures games and are a fan of mini game this game would most likely be perfect for you. The only thing about it is that when your really stuck especially at the ending of the game you will probably be stuck fr a long time. Other than that it is a great game.

really fun but hard and easy at some parts
the legendary starfy is a GREAT game!!! the gameplay is epic, the music is fun to listen to, the graphics are not that bad, but my most fav part is the boss fights. this game is fun but is a bit easy on some parts. i got this game for christmas a year ago and i already got to world 3 in 1 day. but as you get to the end, it gets REALLY hard. so get ready for a challenge if your gonna get this game! the game is kinda like mix of kirby and mario but how you attack bad-guys is different. starfy rams into bad-guys by SPINNING into them, which was another thing i liked about the game. this game is perfect for any kid at any age and good to get if you like mario or kirby. get the game. its EPIC!!!!!!

Its a game made for peeps younger than me but it doesn't mean i can't like it. It's cute and fun, like kirby and/or mario. Ps the 3ds is good, but the original ds has the classics and the best games BUT I STILL THINK THE 3DS IS COOL IM NOT INSULTIN' NO ONE

disapointing
I bought this game for two main reasons one because cause hes in super smash bros brawl ant two because it reminds people of kirby and yoshis island. Which it does but this much more kidish than the other two. I will divide this into 2 catagories pros and cons.. PROS: graphics are cute and match the game well. sounds are good as well also its pretty easy and should keep kids entertained for a while without much difficulty. CONS: not for people over 10 years old. lots of swimming. controls can be stiff and delayed. not as good as yoshi's island or kirby. gets boring fast. not many different kinds of enemies like the original super mario bros. So if you want to buy your kid or little brother a game that they would enjoy buy this, BUT IF YOUR BUYING THIS EXPECTING IT TO BE BETTER THAN KIRBY OR YOSHI YOU WILL BE DISAPOINTED.

Good for little kids
When I first bought this game, I thought it was gonna be fun. When I played the game, the game was MUCH different than I expected, but it was fun. Starfy is similar to the Kirby franchise, a cute little guy saving a certain area. In Starfy, you go to through 10 worlds in the game and exploring each one is fun. The bosses are also very enjoyable and challenging. Graphics are impressive. The music is fantastic, but at times it may be boring. The story is dark and it's interesting to follow it, even though it may seem childish at times. Also, there is co-op in the game, but you can only do that in bosses (not the last one) and the first stages in each world, which is disappointing. The game is fun, but I have 2 issues. First, I wish the co-op could be improved and should be added in more levels. And second, some parts in the game can be quite cheesy and too dramatic. But overall, this game is recommended for a younger audience, and may not be good for someone 13 or older.

Great game for 4 year olds!
I bought this game for my 4 year olds birthday and he can play it very well. I dont have to help him to much with the game and when i do have to help i dont mind because the game catches my interest also. It plays kinda like kirby and mario mixed....dont really know how to explain it but its easier and funner then both of those games especially for the younger kids. Its a lot harder to die in the game then most other games because there is life everywere it seems in the game. I would definetly recommend this game for a parent looking for a game to keep there younger childs interests.

The Legendary Starfy
Cute graphics and amazing gameplay! Starfy might even be cuter than Spongebob! The storyline is very creative and well thought-out. Here's the story: Starfy is a prince who lives in a castle in the clouds with his sister, and clam-friend, Moe! One day the evil people come and the two, Starfy and Moe fall out of the sky! They then figure out how to get back up to the castle, with no luck. Then they find this bunny-astronaut who doesn't remember who or where he is. The rest of the game, you find these gem shards that make him remember who he is and where he came from.
This is a great game, I love it. I would recommend this to anyone who likes the Mario series! (:

Go starfy!!
The game might be a little childish, but the game is addicting, a good amount of side quests, and the storyline makes sense! Nintendo, make more starfy games in the U.S!

Incredible
I've got to say that when I first heard about this game I thought it was going to be a stupid game for little kids, but, I decided to try it out anyway. When I started playing I immediately loved it, the gameplay is amazing, and I think it has a great storyline to it as well. Also, the graphics of this game are just incredible, and the music and sound in this game are awesome. On top of that there are many great abilities you can learn in this game, such as: super star spin, double jump, glide, and much more, along with the awesome forms that Starfy can transform into (only at certain times), like a fire breathing monster. The levels are awesome as well. And, there are hidden treasure chests that you can find which makes the game even more fun to play (I found them all, but you don't have to). The only thing that upset me about the game is how in multiplayer, it ends after you go through a door, but that doesn't ruin the fun of the game at all. After playing this game I think it is definitely one of my favorite games (after Kingdom Hearts of course), and I hope that more Starfy games will be made in the future.
