I got this game recently and it was great!! Way better than I expected it to be. It has so many fun things to do. The minigames are the funnest things ever, you can even make dumplings which was my fave. I also like the challenge of the levels. It's like a game for a bigger system on the DS, which I love. Every time you learn a new move or ability and it totally helps out with your adventure. The colors were so bright it was like I was playing it on Wii, also the sound was good too. The music was calming on some levels and other times it was joyful. When there's a boss level you hear actiony music. I would recomend this game to anyone who likes to play Mario Bros, Zelda, Naruto, and Kirby games. Hope this infuences some people to go out there and buy the Starfy game. I haven't seen Starfy since forever. I think his last game was on Nintendo 64. Well, the game was awesome! There are few games as fun and cute as this one and they should come out with a Starfy game on Wii.

When I first bought this game, I thought it was gonna be fun. When I played the game, the game was MUCH different than I expected, but it was fun. Starfy is similar to the Kirby franchise, a cute little guy saving a certain area. In Starfy, you go to through 10 worlds in the game and exploring each one is fun. The bosses are also very enjoyable and challenging. Graphics are impressive. The music is fantastic, but at times it may be boring. The story is dark and it's interesting to follow it, even though it may seem childish at times. Also, there is co-op in the game, but you can only do that in bosses (not the last one) and the first stages in each world, which is disappointing. The game is fun, but I have 2 issues. First, I wish the co-op could be improved and should be added in more levels. And second, some parts in the game can be quite cheesy and too dramatic. But overall, this game is recommended for a younger audience, and may not be good for someone 13 or older.
Rated 9 out of 10 by Awesomecola11 Great game for unwinding!
So, recently, I've been spending time with hard games like the Castlevania series, Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones and Shadow Dragon, etc. So I picked this game up to have a break. Let me tell you this: THIS GAME IS GREAT! However, this does not mean it is flawless. Some of my main gripes with this game is that the game wasn't really challenging at all (except for the final boss). While I know I was looking for an easy game, that doesn't mean I wanted it to be a breeze. The music wasn't all that memorable, and the controls needed some getting used to at first. If you still don't get used to the controls, though, you can change them from the pause menu. Unlike another user posted, though, you do not need a second DS to finish the game, as I did so without. To sum it up, if you like easy games, want a break, or have young kids just starting to play games, get The Legendary Starfy. Don't let the kawaii turn you off, though, as you'll be missing out.
Rated 10 out of 10 by AlextotheLee Amazing Game! Must Buy!
Straight from Japan comes THE LEGENDARY STARFY! Yes you may not have heard of it, but it is an extremely fun and intuitive game. First of all you are a starfish, not just any starfish, one that is a prince of a kingdom in the clouds. Throughout the game you are chasing a giant squid who has taken a bunny dressed like a spaceman hostage. Sound strange? Yes that may be, but it is hilariously fun. Battle through the seas and land to reach your destination and defeat the giant squid. The graphics and animation are beautifully colored and done. The storyline will keep you in on what's going on and how you are doing on your journey to save the said bunny. This game is a mix between the old Mario games and Kirby. Fight your way to victory using different attacks learned while progressing through the game play. This game is seriously a must buy... for anyone. GO GET THIS GAME NOW!

I've got to say that when I first heard about this game I thought it was going to be a stupid game for little kids, but, I decided to try it out anyway. When I started playing I immediately loved it, the gameplay is amazing, and I think it has a great storyline to it as well. Also, the graphics of this game are just incredible, and the music and sound in this game are awesome. On top of that there are many great abilities you can learn in this game, such as: super star spin, double jump, glide, and much more, along with the awesome forms that Starfy can transform into (only at certain times), like a fire breathing monster. The levels are awesome as well. And, there are hidden treasure chests that you can find which makes the game even more fun to play (I found them all, but you don't have to). The only thing that upset me about the game is how in multiplayer, it ends after you go through a door, but that doesn't ruin the fun of the game at all. After playing this game I think it is definitely one of my favorite games (after Kingdom Hearts of course), and I hope that more Starfy games will be made in the future.
Rated 10 out of 10 by kirbystar Great game that introduces a star!
When I got this game, I was surprised, it was better then I expected! With all the stuff you can do like learning new moves, fighting bosses, and going through the story in the levels with challenges that seem to pretty fun. Starfy also has the 4 suits with awesome abilities! Plus, it's not just gonna leave you with one quest, it has side-quests that are sometimes a challenge but are really fun! I had a blast with the characters, the characters were funny, enduring, and inspiring. I liked the way they made little comic-book like parts telling the story, it always kept me on my toes waiting to see what happens next. There's also multiplayer fun, you can play with a friend who does'nt even own it and play in the adventure mode or go crazy with the fun mini-games. So if want a game that is fun, simple, and friendly, look no further, because starfy's here!
Rated 1 out of 10 by Kumayasha Needs 2 thats 2 Nintendo DS's to play
At first it is fun but, there are point you have to have a second Nintendo DS in order to do things and then you get to one stage where you have no choice you absolutly need another DS in order to get past it and if you don't know someone else with a ds well that's the end of that game. This is one game although looks like fun is a really pain in alot of areas and I would defenatly not recommend it to anyone who gets pissed off easily. I mean you get to this one stage where you have to press these stupid buttons to raise the water so you can get to the next landing at first it's easy but, then you get to this point where you have these barrals in the way and when you raise the level of the water then try to get across the barrels before the water lowers again there is just no way to race across them in time. So, that is why I think this game sucks!

So i bought this game because there were no other games to buy. I made fun if it when i first got it. But it turned out to be a fun and cute game. Yeah i beat it real quick but i enjoyed it. The whole story was cute and interesting. Too much interaction for me. but it was cute. I made fun if the noise he made when he got dizzy but after a while i got use to it. It was my game to play when i beat all the mario games. I will recomend it to people. i was knocking it at first for it being a starfish but i really like it. Towards the end i found out how to get my wifi. i just wished i knew people to play this with me. you can have his sister starly help in fights. Very adorable. The tricks you learn are easy to get a hang of. i wish i was able to unlock more mini games. After the third leval it gets hard to find the treasure chest.
Rated 6 out of 10 by DKandDK disapointing
I bought this game for two main reasons one because cause hes in super smash bros brawl ant two because it reminds people of kirby and yoshis island. Which it does but this much more kidish than the other two. I will divide this into 2 catagories pros and cons.. PROS: graphics are cute and match the game well. sounds are good as well also its pretty easy and should keep kids entertained for a while without much difficulty. CONS: not for people over 10 years old. lots of swimming. controls can be stiff and delayed. not as good as yoshi's island or kirby. gets boring fast. not many different kinds of enemies like the original super mario bros. So if you want to buy your kid or little brother a game that they would enjoy buy this, BUT IF YOUR BUYING THIS EXPECTING IT TO BE BETTER THAN KIRBY OR YOSHI YOU WILL BE DISAPOINTED.
Rated 10 out of 10 by Game-Rater Starfy? You mean that Star from Brawl?
When I first heard about the release of Starfy, I flipped! Most people haven't known about Starfy until his assist trophy in brawl. Now, thankfully, Nintendo has blessed us with an English Starfy! Ok, about the game. I'd say it kinda plays like a kirby game, not dreadfully easy, but at some points it could. Also, if you happen to have a buddy around with a DS, you can play co-op! Each level is extremely fun and creative, may you be on rainbows, in bubbles, even on a mine cart! The Legendary Starfy did not really use the power of the touch screen, touch screen is used more like a second screen, for conversations, little applications and such. Also, there are minigames, clothing for Starfy(or Starly), and secret areas! This game will keep you entertained for quite a while. A must have for Kirby fans.
