Science Papa! It's like Cooking Mama, but with SCIENCE!
Or so they would have you believe. If you're considering Science Papa, you're probably doing so because "exploring chemistry, physics, paleontology, and biology" with that certain Cooking Mama flair sounds like fun. Unfortunately for you, Science Papa doesn't deliver. Unlike Majesco's Cooking Mama, Activision's Science Papa (no relation, obviously) is frustratingly repetitive, uninteresting and not even remotely educational. Wonder why you got such a low score on an experiment? Your guess is as good as anyone else's. Science Papa doesn't tell you why you scored the way you did. Wondering why upgrading your lab equipment with your hard earned money makes experiments less fun and more time consuming? It's SCIENCE, don't ask questions. Not even sure what the heck you're supposed to be doing? Figure it out for yourself, are you a scientist or not? The instruction manual is four pages long. If you picked up the box and thought, "Hey, I kind of like biology"/ "I remember when I got a chemistry set for Christmas" / "You know what's totally awesome? DINOSAURS - this could be interesting," then you will be sorely disappointed. If adding some kind of blue stuff to some reddish stuff and then putting it in an "everything machine" - a magical instant results box - all on a timer while trying to perfect your results is what you're after, then Science Papa might be for you. If you enjoyed Mama and were looking for an intriguing - or even playable - sciencey related knock-off, you won't find it here. Only a game this bad would make dinosaurs seem totally not awesome.
