Rock Revolution for the consoles never interested because they looked terrible. But the DS version is another story, my cousin let me play his version and I was extremely impressed, despite the negative reviews. All the instruments look silly to play but they are fun. The graphics are silly cartoon but looks good. Cover songs aren't bad to the ears. The guitar you flick in any direction when it comes within the circle or you rotate in a different direction with the stylus. The bass is better, its like the guitar but its expanded to all the four strings. The drums are simple and easy to play/understand but is simply fun. The vocals aren't that great and you'll look odd singing into the DS's mic but is still fun. Plus you can get 3 other people and start playing some songs.

Like Guitar Hero DS and Jam Session, it looks to be a pretty cool concept. I'm very certain that the drums will take some getting used to. But like Guitar Hero DS, the only thing I see as a downside is the limited playlist. Only 20 songs? Konami can do better than that. This game would be a sweet candidate for the Downloadable Content option that the new DSi is supposed to have. Konami would do well to hold off release and tweak for the new system. If not, well there's always Rock Revolution 2.
