Rated 8 out of 10 nostalgia plus story equal emotion
im all for nostalgia and had a great time enjoying that feeling throughout most of this game.
what really pulled me into the game: the story. it was brilliant.
rewriting history. brilliant. rewriting history done the right way, a step up from brilliant, and these guys pulled it off. kudos.
unlike most people, backtracking is never a problem for me, who cares? if the creators did it right, returning anywhere is fine. they do it to save time, money, fine, whatever, if the area your returning to is interesting and built the right way, i'm more than ok with it.
GAMERS WHO DONT COMPLAIN ABOUT EVERY LITTLE ASPECT OF A GAME THAT THEY WOULD HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY BECAUSE THINGS DIDNT GO THEIR WAY, GET INTO THIS GAME

This game is a gem for the DS. One of those games that few will talk about, that you will barely hear of, but if you get the chance, it will be an amazing trip. Radiant Historia is about a man who is faced with impossible choices throughout the game. Given a book that allows him to travel through time, he is also given the task of stopping the world from falling into darkness. Sounds typical, right? Well, in this game, the main character makes a decision that ends up spliting the timeline into two different paths. And in the game, it is up to you to travel back between the two to talk to certain characters, find certain items, or beat a boss that exists in only one time line.
The battling system is turn-based, and has the feel of Final Fantasy, but yet not. Its different from most games, but wildly addictive. You have skills, and you have stradegy by trying to knocck certain foes into a spot on the map to do massive attacks that deal the enemy more damage.
The story line is also fantastic. It happens to be a game that should be made into a fan-based novel, like 999, and World Ends With You. The idea that you can simply swim through two time-lines is addictive, and something that you will easily get into in this game. I would say don't miss out on the game, but you already know that by now, huh?
Rated 10 out of 10 by necromonster So much fun!
I have played this game a lot, and I am not even near the end yet. New surprises and plot twists show up, and it is great to see how things turn out. The soundtrack is amazing, and I bought the game with the bonus CD, which I love listening to. It's something I never get tired of. I also like how everything is so well put together. You jump back and forth on these two timelines, and each one has multiple endings. If you make a choice, it could end up being the wrong one, and you have to go back somewhere on that timeline and fix your mistakes. Not to mention you have to jump back and forth on both timelines to gain certain abilities that progress you through the other timeline. It's so much fun to play. There is a lot of dialouge as well, and it's really interesting, sometimes it can get a little frustrating though when you have to go back to a certain point in time because you have to re-do entire conversations. It's very political too, so you really have to pay attention. The battle style is also very unique. I really like the way it works, and if you use strategy, you can defeat foes very easily. Like if you get your teammates to push one enemy into a larger enemy that takes up to spaces on the grid style battle, and then you push another monster into the larger monster, and then have your last partner do a powerful attack you can probably kill all of your enemies in that turn. Overall it is just such a good game. I reccommend it to everyone who loves RPG's.
