ups and downs
In sims party i thought there would be more than just to play minigames. You play the same games over and over again. Its just not worth it. That was one of my birthday pressents that i chose out and i was suprised about how boring it was. I played my cousins regular my sims game and it was fun but mysimsparty was such a disapointment. To tell you the truth, even on the wii the games not fun. They totally messed up on this game. If I had to recommend this to a friend and judge it out of 10 I would give it a 3. It was missing a lot of stuff I thought it would have like to be more free in the game. They forced you to walk somewhere for a while and then you could roam around. When you walk in the stores theres nothing to do. All you do is say hi to the owner then leave. You can buy a couple of stuff but thats it. Overall this game was horrible.
Best for kids not older people
Yeah the game looks great but really no story behind it all you do is bring people to your town and win all the contests. They are really easy and best for kids i got it and beat it in one day its way to easy for anyone above the age of 10. I lost interest and really not much to do after it. Its got some great things like some games but most of it was not the best i recommend it for younger kids. Also it didnt last long enough. There were some cute things i liked in it though they had a monkey though you couldnt' have and some of the clothes were cute but it just was to easy you get money for winning contest. I would love to see maybe the people who make sims make it more funner and a bit longer for the people who do like these kinds of games.
it was fun for a while.
I loved the game when I first got it. I couldn't stop playing and unlocking new games. Now the games are a bit boring, and it repeats itself. The storyline is very short.
this game is FUN to play when you have friends, or hust by yourself!!!
This game has just as good of games as 'mario party', and the same classic sim style - you get to create your own character, and go on lots of adventures. the only down side is that only four people can play at a time, but you can work that out. otherwhise, this is a great game!
EA gone Party Mode with MySims Party
When the original MySims first came out, I thought to myself, "Sims for kids? You got to be joking." Being 23 years of age, I see now why MySims is good. I own the PC version of MySims and beat it, as it is a time-waster. Now I see this. I'm a HUGE fan of party games; played Sonic Shuffle, Mario Party, and Crash Bash for years. MySims Party combines the MySims game play with party games. Some people may think that it is just plain weird and idiotic to have EA make their first party game, but I found it pretty cool.Breaking this down, you begin most likely like the original MySims, where you are a foreign person meeting new people, doing tasks for others, making new friends, etc. But with the party game twist, it changes the game progression. By completing tournament-like events called "Festivals", you "convince" new Sims to move into your town, adding new places along the way. Consider that your universally main task of the game. Of course, some Sims have tasks of their own. The common task is to get at least 60 points in their game. By completing their tasks, you get an item they wear (head wear, hair, costume, etc.), and you could play as him/her during the game. Also, you could play as them during the mini-games. Constructing houses are a lot less like the original. This time, you have to purchase parts to the house, and customize it. "Building from the ground on up" isn't on this; you select the purchased/obtained parts from the different categories to customize it. The interior can not be customized, nor other Sims houses (both interior and exterior). The game has two save files... prepare for a family battle royal if your sharing with many siblings. A cool feature is that even though you could only create two towns, the Sims made by players span both files. So if you completed the game and someone just started out, you could customize the new Sim in the new town with all the clothing/hair/head wear purchased. Since Party Mode is where the game takes place most, the game focuses on the attributes of Sims. When you create a Sim, you have six points to distribute to Power, Speed, and Technical attributes. You also collect cards called "Festival Cards", which you could make yourself do better in the mini-games, make opponents suffer, etc. Games have a "Featured Attribute", which could be just one, two, even all three attributes. You can not gain anymore points for attributes by playing the games or even by progressing into the game... this is where Teams come in play. Later in the game, you may be forced to make a Team. A Team consists of one, two, or three Sims. One Sim, for example, could be All-Around, another Powerful, another Technical, to round the team off, ala Pokemon. The game utilize all three types of input: Button, Touch, and Mic. Some mini-games use two types of input; the control is ambidextrous, even though there is no setting. The controls feel right for a [simulation] party game. There is a Trade Mode, where as you could trade unlocked items and even Sims to different carts via DS Wireless Communication. There is also a multi-player mode in terms of both Festivals and Free-for-All, which makes a party game a party game. DS Wireless Communication feature both Single- and Multi-Card play. I remember hearing how the theme goes on the PC version. In MySims Party, there are a few remade versions, plus a few new ones. Not much in terms of music, but the quality is great... just not the title theme. You could hear the quality of the EA logo screen compared to Sims 2 Castaway. Sound Effects are more or less the same as the other MySims games. There wouldn't be any annoying sounds to deal with. In terms of graphics, since it is a DS game, I find it decent. There isn't much to say about the graphics, however it sure could use some anti-aliasing. It took me roughly ten hours to complete the entire game, without the collection complete. Tournaments later on in
Wow,That Was soooo not worth the money.
This game is not worth the money and I do not recommend it to anyone over 8 years old.I don't think anyone over 8 will enjoy this game because the graphics and customization blow and little kids don't care about that stuff. So if you are considering buying this as a present for your kid think again. If you are a fan of MySims games of the past you should stick to those ones this one is a waste of time and money. The only cool thing about the game is probably the front cover. Please think before buying this because I don't want kids or adults to save up all their money and then blow it on a boring game. I hope if you don't biother listing to me and you buy this anyway at least but it used because at least that way you get to save at least a little of your hard earned cash.
Not Worth The Money And Not Much To Do
You just play minigames on this game, Mario Party DS has way better minigames. There isn't much to do at all on this game, but just walk around the town and buy stuff, like clothes and different parts for your house. When I saw the box I thought it would be fun but it isnt at all. I recommend watching youtube videos of this BEFORE you buy this then you will see thats it a complete waste of money.
it was fun for a while then there was like nothing to do it gets boring like I could easily fall asleep
my sims party.... worst game EVER
when i played i was bored outta mind. all you do is play stupid little kid mini games. there all sooooo boring and easy. so take my advice: dont spend the money.
