My Baby Boy
I bought this game for my daughter and she played for 2 days then said it was the boringest game she ever played i don't recommend this.
This is a really great game! The baby does cry quite a bit, but it's easy enough to fix. At first i had trouble trying to figure out how to get the sponge during his bathes but i found a video on youtube that helped me out! The Baby is adorable! Also after you finish a boy you can choose to create a girl. When you have the boy though your Grandmother may give you girls clothes! You can sell them though! I'm still with the first baby i created, because i just got the game today. Also if you like this game you should get the sequel to it My Baby First Steps! I love my baby Boy though it takes you through your childs development. and you really have to pay attention to your baby!
My Baby Boy has great graphics first of all. I was amazed when I first began playing how life-like the baby looks. The game is pretty easy to use. I just received the game yesterday and my baby is already 9 months old. I also like how I can interact with my baby. He reacts and responds to my voice and any other sound that he hears in the background. Even though I'm stuck at trying to get him to stand, I would still recommend this game to anybody who wants to experience, in some ways, what it's like to have a baby. I learned I don't have enough patience yet because I turn the game off if I can't get him to do something or he's fussy. Bad, I know. But it really is close to what it's like to have a baby in real life. If that's what you're looking for in a game, My Baby Boy is for you.
Baby Vs. Pixels
Normally in baby games like My Baby Boy, the graphics are based around realistic figures of babies. Which, isn't always the most pleasing case. This one, however, has a new approach to it. They're not exactly cartoon-like, but deffinatly cuter then any immitated real baby out there. The game starts off with you filling out the birth certificate. You name your baby, you put the sex of your baby (even though it's called My Baby Boy, once you beat the game, you can choose to have a girl) and then you go through with the details, such as skin, eyes, and hair. When you first get your baby, the doctor and nurse who are always there by your side for assistance introduce you to the basic guidlines for the first month. The first month of your baby's life, is pretty much the tutor of the game. It shows you how to do the main things such as changing your baby's diaper, and prepping and feeding a bottle to it. You have your first two development assignments too. Very exciting. The baby responds to your voice, and it's beyond rewarding to see the baby smile. Unlike other baby simulations, this one has a focus around emotions. You don't feel like you're just taking care of another "pet", you feel like it's your baby. It's very cool. I personally enjoyed this game, and even though I deleted my first baby, I'm working on another from start to finish. =) Every action is realistic as well. From changing it's diaper, to feeding, to even playing. It's nice. Good game all in all. =)
