So much fun
I love this game. The cut scenes are hilarious. It is so much better than 5-7. The controls are very easy and it isn't too hard to the point that you get frustrated.

fun fun fun
This is a really fun game. Yeah, sometimes it's boring, but it really makes up for with the minigames! Alas, you can on;y do the minigames if you do certain levels. Boo! The videos are funny, too! But if you think differently and your reading my review, I don't mind. You should see it for yourselfif you don't have the game.

Lego needs to rethink this one! (Part 1 of 2)
This game is one of the worst games I have EVER played!!! The Gameplay and graphics are not good. In a single level, you will find: No action AND bad gameplay. (Part 2 of this review coming soon)

Loved it
I am a huge fan of Harry Potter and I got LEGO years 1-4 a couple weeks ago because gamestop didnt have any of the other Harry Potter games available at the time. I have to admitt, I was skeptical at first, but I fell in love with the game right away. I love how you are able to cast the spells yourself by drawing symbols instead of just pointing the wand at an object and letting the game do the rest and I love how you are able to pick which year and scene you would like to play in a room where you can buy hints, charactors and other items. The game stuck to the plot very well and it wasnt one of those games where you spent half the time watching the charactors act out scenes before letting you play. I also loved how there were some very humorous parts to the game that werent in the story but made the game memorable.

Its OK but not as good as the Wii version.
This game is pretty fun but very short. I got it and beat it within 3 hours but i played it a few more times after that. basicly: not good lasting appeal but very high replay value. The Levels are short and the objectives are pretty easy especialy the bosses. If you were to ask me i would say to buy the Wii version if its for a more skilled 13+ gamer. but for a begginer gamer 12 and under i'd say buy this version.

OK
The Harry Potter Years 1-4 is ok for the kids who absolutly LOVE Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasly. My truthfully favorite character is Hermione. I like to play as her because she usually the smarter one.

Not Pleased
I bought this game thinking it would be as great as some of these lego star wars games for the DS. Well I thought wrong. When I first started playing it was as if it was lego star wars for the GBA! It was terrible. You do move around with the + pad but you can't jump. It is very limited. The only think that makes it better is that you can use the touch screen for using spells. Unfortunately the spell you use is always the same touch function like rearranging legos into an order and starts in the same spot each time.
It does have character customization but that's pretty much the only good feature.
