Great Game PLAY IT
This game is very fun, i've played a little of the ps2 version, and this is almost the same but the camera is right down there with your character instead of a large veiw of everything, and there are a few less fighting moves. But, i am very impressed with the humor and gameplay of this game. I definitely reccomend it to all; not just young kids. You can even play as the villians! Some of the characters included are: the Joker, Batman, Robin, the Killer Croc, the penguin, TwoFace, the Riddler, Commisioner Gordon, Harley Quinn, The ScareCrow, Catwoman, and more! Do not expect it to be based off of Batman Begins or the Dark Knight, but instead, the Comics. If you've played Lego Indiana Jones or Star Wars, this will not take very much learning. Almost like a puzzle, you have to figure out how to get past the obstacles and which character to use to do so.
Better than ever!
I have multiple versions of this game, and this one is great! It is PERFECT for a DS game. Even if you do not like Batman or Lego you will really like this game! The graphics are pretty good and the choice of charectors is great! This version has great exclusive content like special charectors and minigames. It is a great thing to do when you are bored in the car or someplace else. The only thing I really don't like is the cmbat some of the time. It is all to easy. And dieing in it when you don't know what to do can be a problem. But that whole unlimited extra lives thing will make that to easy. One very impressive thing in the game is all the special villain levels. Joker, Penguin, and The Riddler along with their teams have great abilities . Out of it all, Lego Batman for Ds is probably one of the best Ds games ever!
Worth Da Cash
If you were looking forward to playing the movie,l then you'll be disappointed but only until you start to play it. It has a classic batman story line combined with the LEGO gameplay we've all come to love. The joker is a perfect enemy and even though i haven't finished the game yet i've still got a sense of awe. This is one of the best games out for the ds. I actually loved this game so much that i bought the wii version as well. I hope there's gonna be a sequel! Robin is kinda an extra which is a really good thing because i'm pretty sure none of us wanted to be forced to play with robin. When i first started to play this game it reminded me of when i first played lego star wars for the GCN. This game was really well made. This game is a must have for NDS.
Step aside, Arkham City...
This is probably the best Batman game out there. All of the characters, puzzles, and levels are put together great. This game takes the dark word of batman, and mixes it with the crazy, kid-friendly action of a LEGO game. Even after you have completed the game, there is still much to do. The free-play mode ensures that you have hours upon hours of fun. I would recommend this game to batman fans of all ages.
Bottom line... Best Lego Game
This is a great game. My son (6yrs) has it for the DS and we also have Lego Batman 1 and 2 for the XBOX. Of all of the Lego games, this one is the best. (We also have Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones, Star Wars and Harry Potter.) I asked my son why he liked the Lego Batman better than the others, and he said "more action Mom!" We just returned Indiana Jones for the DS because he hated it. We have it for the XBOX, and he likes it okay for that, but it was a no-go on the DS. We also have Lego Harry Potter for the DS which he never plays (requires much more reading.)
I love Lego Batman because it requires little to no reading. Many of the DS games require a much higher reading level than the game play requires skill. This results in my son running to me every few minutes to have me read the screen. (This is a major pet peeve I have with the DS. It's audience is clearly the younger generation, yet they make it so that they can't play the games without some adult assistance.)
Anyway, off my soap box, the graphics are really great as compared to many of the games for the DS, and the game play is smooth. This game keeps my son's interest, and it is a game that I wouldn't mind playing now and again.
this game is awesome!
First of all, anyone who's seen the dark knight should know that batman is sweet, so think about it, all of the batman stories in one game is even better! Also, it's Lego, so it's for all ages!! You play the game both ways, during regular game play you hold the ds like you were playing brain age 2. Sometimes you can be in the bat mobile or any of his wacky vehicles. This game is going to be sweet!
Here comes the Lego knight!
Here comes the Lego knight! Lego Batman is a great add to the series of Lego, for all systems! I have a copy for DS and Wii, both are awesome and have really fun levels. Also many characters including Batman, Robin, Joker, Mr.Freeze, Riddler, Gordan, Batgirl and more! Good replay value, as I said really fun levels. You have both sides (Batman, heroes and Joker, villains) With all their own levels. Overall a very recommended game by me. Keep the Lego games coming!
one of the best
This is one of the best games i have ever played. It's hard and fun at the same time. It's true the graphics could be better but it's for the ds.This game is one of the top ten for me.
The Dark Knight meets lego
I just saw that i haven't yet written a review for this fun game so here we go. Lego Batman for ds is a really fun game. It might not have as good as graphics or as much enemies as the consoles but the ds have its own uniqueness. This one is more comic like, the levels have a different setup, different characters, minigames, and the funnest villain hunt mode. This is a good lego game.
terrible ds game
this game is so dumb its to easy and boring the graphics okay but the combat is terrible and repetetive ages 3_5
