Kirby: Super Star Ultra
Best kirby game since the original Kirby superstar
This is one of the best kirby games I've ever seen.I've played the Super NES version and it was very well thought out. This was even BETTER.if you know kirby,it has all the original powers and game modes, with a few extra modes for good measure.I would recommend this game to gamers of all ages.(not to mention,I've seen 30-year-olds play this game and have good fun.)Overall this game is the "bee's knees" if you know what I mean.
One of the best remakes ever made.
Kirby Super Star Ultra is an awesome remake of a Super Nintendo classic. The game has so many things to do in just a little cartridge but yet HAL Labs and Nintendo pulled it off really good. The graphics in this game are fantastic. They are some of the best i've seen on the DS and it looks great espessicly with the cutscenes. All the game modes from the orginal are Here.Like Spring Breeze.Which takes you on an Adventure as you must stop King Dedede from stealing all the food in Dream Land. It's very fun and it's also a remake of Kirby's Dream Land for the Game Boy.Kirby has the abillty to eat his enenmies and steal their powers. He can get fighting attacks,Lasers and so much more.Their are also more games as well.Like Gourmet Race where you must race King Dedede and eat as much food as you can.DynaBlade is a game where you must stop a Giant Bird from destorying all the crops,Revenge of Meta Knight is another game where you must defeat Meta Knight and save Dream Land.Their's is alot more to do in this game and I say go out and buy it now.
Overestimated start and an impossible finish.
This game IS. NOT. FUN. You know, like an angry cat. I thought it was going to be a walk in the park. I was half-right. It was extremely easy at the beginning, but as the title of this review reads, it was impossible at the end unless Kirby games for years upon years. How are you supposed to beat several consecutive boss battles with only four health pieces!? What the heck? The mini-games get somewhat repetitive. The only sentimental value of Kirby that has stayed is eating everything in sight. Somewhat like Cubivore. Until a game where Kirby isn't a compulsive eater. Kirby has been ruined! He isn't a compulsive eater! The sound is somewhat primitive and could be incorporated to work a Gameboy Advance. There is no really story to it. At least Kirby Squeak Squad had a plot. Kirby had his cake stolen from him. There is a very weak storyline until you beat another story, then another crisiss comes up. REPETITIVE. It's like reruns of the three stooges. They lose their punch after multiple viewings.
Yes, more Kirby, thanks!
First things first, Kirby now offers fully animated cut scenes! That automatically calls for a celebration on the DS. It's also good to notice the makers kept it 2-D which is the only way you can really enjoy Kirby. You also receive a full array of new suck powers that keep the game going. Another plus is the the new mini games, they are there just in case you get bored. Beating the mini games is only a cool hint of future games to come. Personally, kirby hasn't been this awesome since 6 years ago on GBA! UNEXPECTED ALERT AHHH! Metaknight on the DS as an available character is one of the biggest plusses on the DS. King deedee as well, but he's less entertaining since he's so bulky and unmysterious. As regular gameplay goes, this is your above average 2D sidescroller, it's like Contra + CANDY = Kirby Super Star Ultra. You'll constantly be on your toes keeping up with your enemies. Above all, if you're a gamer who wants a bit of challenge, go out and get Kirby Super Star Ultra!
a good review
this game has some good and bad points.first of all the challenge this game is super easy i beat it the day i rented it. The grafics are pretty good for a kirby game. i think the lenghth was rather poor though. the story line was hard to follow you were here there and every where but i skipped all the little clips, videos and such. the mini games were rather boring there are only 3 of them.the controls are easy to learn and they are fun to use. the powers u can get are cool as well.the bosses are really easy even on the hardest levels the sound sucks (not that anyone really cares about what the sounds like who pays attention to the music when your hammering guys to the ground) overall: this game can pass time but is rather short. rent and dont waist your money on a short lived good time if u want challenge stop looking here and look for games on other platforms a recap: good: bad: powers every thing else grafics controls enjoy :( ......(maybe)
This game is one of the best ever! You play as kirby, in a lot of different games. You start off with Spring Breeze, an easy game to get beginners a feel for the game and its controls. The first 6 games are: Spring Breeze, where you get the food back from King DEDEDE, (be a rock when beating him), DynaBlade, where a bird is destroying all the crops and you have to find out why, The Great Cave offensive, Gormet Race, revenge of the meta knight, and Milky Way Wishes, where you have to go to 7 different planets to stop the sun and the moon from fighting. Then, after you beat those all, you get 4 more games, plus a mini-game to add to the previous three! I won't tell you what they are but they are awesome! My favorite game in it is Meta Knightmare Ultra, which is one of the new games you unlock. You play as MetaKnight, and play through all of the courses of the previous games you played. I love this game. It has good sound, great graphics, and it is a lot of fun!
If you like Kirby, you'll love this
Kirby Super Star Ultra's most impressive feature is its amount of content. With seven story modes, three Arena modes, and a host of mini-games, you shouldn't run out of things to do for a while, especially if you love the Kirby franchise. I never tire of inhaling the multitude of colorful enemies populating the levels, and seeing if I have discovered a new Copy Ability to battle with. However, the most fun to be had in Super Star Ultra lies in the multiplayer, specifically in the aforementioned mini-games. Three of these mini-games are playable via DS Download Play, and are, as a whole, too fun for their own good. Sadly, despite all these things Super Star Ultra does right, there's a few that it doesn't quite nail. The game fails to really innovate much, and despite the huge amount of content included, the levels and gameplay can get a bit repetitive and bland at times. (Though if you're used to the classic Kirby formula then that shouldn't be a problem.) My file is 98% complete, and though I'd love to get a 100%, I don't feel a strong motivation to go back and comb the levels for hidden treasures and secrets. Despite these shortcomings, Kirby Super Star Ultra is definitely worth your time, especially if you're a Kirby fan.
Kirby Super Star Ultra
This is what many have waited for, or most people anyway. The original Kirby Super Star for the SNES was one of the best games for the SNES, six games in one! Since the original wasn't really praised due to the release of the N64 and all, Nintendo decided to release Super Star Ultra! This is a revamped, totally updated version of the original with 4 new modes to play through after you finish the original six. Since it is a Kirby game, the challenge is pretty easy so anyone can possibly beat it after the first few modes, but once you progress further, it gets a little bit more challenging, but just a little. The graphics are one of the things revamped in the game, the backgrounds and art are a lot more colorful, and Kirby looks the way he currently does in every 2-D game he's in, the cutscenes are also made in 3-D animation, which seems to make the game feel a whole lot greater to play. The controls feel good on the DS, they are basically like any other Kirby game on a handheld, they're standard, comfortable, and very easy to understand. There really isn't that much of a storyline, but a series of adventures to go through, each mode has a mini story to tell, but that's about it. It tells you what exactly is happening in that particular mode and what happens throughout that mode. The length of the game is a little short, it just seems that there could have been a whole lot more included in the game besides a few new modes and mini-games. You could probably get 100% on the game within a whole day of playing, not even. Anyone that's familiar with Kirby games have to had listened to the music within the games. These little catchy tunes from the original are all back, and a little different, they sound a whole lot clearer and better on the DS, and they sound a bit more cheerier and you're sure to feel a lot of nostalgia just by hearing these songs. So overall, Kirby Super Star Ultra is a great remake, and it's a good game for Kirby fans of all ages, so go pick it up to kill a few days of boredom. 8.4/10

SNES - Kirby Reborned, now in DS!
Kirby Super Star Ultra is the all new reborned version from SNES's classic Kirby game, except only now for the Nintendo DS. Kirby comes back to stop all new enemies including his nemesis King Dedede, as long with his long lost rival MetaKnight. Kirby Super Star Ultra includes all of the old Sub-Mini games from the old version as well as the characters. This includes Suplex, Mirror, Steal, and everyone's favorite, Rocky! Kirby has many stories to complete as the story unfolds the final boss is ... Let's not spoil it! In this game you may also unlock a mode that allows you to use your rival! MetaKnight which is awsome because he's very strong in which case he has 4 special moves. Customer Review - The challenge is what you will expect as it took me a whole 3 months to defeat this game, and trust me you will be addicted to this game. Graphics are enhanced of what was the SNES's. Sound and interface is fascinating, controls are easy to use, and the length of the storyline is just perfect. I hope those who have a DS, buys this game and will be happy about it. Recommended 10/10 - Daisuke the Serious Gamer. Th3 Gam3r.
