Rated 3 out of 5 by from Locks Up! I played Mysteryville first. Mysteryville works great all the way through. I was having a blast playing Jewel Quest. You have to find hidden jewels and coins in each puzzle in addition to the hidden items. It actually has a storyline you follow and it's okay. However, when you get to the last location the "Puzzle" game where you have to turn all the squares to gold by inserting preselected "blocks" of squares and turning on switches; when you run out of time, instead of going back to the map, it locks up. It just freezes, you have to turn the DS off. I tried it 4 times, 4 times it locked up. I tried it in a different DS twice, still locked up. Went to Activision's website; it says to return it to place of purchase for an exchange. I really hate that, it was a fun game and I enjoyed "racing" against the clock.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Game Jewel Quest Mysteries is a wonderful game, especially for the price. I have only played one of the two games, but I love it. There is a decent background story to follow, but it's not really necessary to keep up with, so it can be enjoyed simply for the puzzles. The main play of the game is similar to an I-Spy..you have a list of items and you find them hidden with a ton of items. After a few rounds of I-Spy you complete jewel puzzles to move on to the next level. I have previously owned a similar game but it only took me a few days to complete the entire game. I love Jewel Quest because there are many hours of game play. It's not very difficult, but it still keeps you interested. The only issue I have sometimes is that when trying to navigate around the screen with the stylus the game mistakes a drag for a tap and deducts points from my score for tapping incorrect items. In my opinion you are given more than enough time to find all the given items so it's not a big problem, just annoying.
