Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Cool Game This game is pretty cool, but it can get boring after a while. The dragons in it are really cool, and so are the fighting moves. Overall, this game is pretty awesome.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Big disappointment. Short story. Easy to beat. EXPENSIVE. Poor graphics AND gameplay. The only reason I bought the game in the first place is because I thought you could ride a dragon. Nope. Not gonna happen. Game sucks. Don't buy it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 8 year-old daughter LOVES this game She can't get enough of it. She loves dragons and she gets to play a female character while "training" her dragons. This game is essentially Pokemon-lite set in the "How to Train Your Dragon" universe, but if your kid loves dragons, loved the movie and loves some strategic thinking in an easy to play game, then this game will be a hit with your kid. Very kid safe, friendly and fun!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent for a movie game While How To Train Your Dragon for the DS is not gold, it isn't a terrible game. Unlike most movie games, the stry is good and it isn't painful to play, and many fans of the movie would definitely enjoy it. While it does not hold up to the amazing graphics and customization of the 360, Wii, or PS3 versions, the DS version is alright on it's own. The story is short, but there are two separate scenarios (one for Hiccup and another for Astrid) which actually make the game twice as long. The voice acting is amazing, when it's actually there. The graphics are decent, the controls very simple, and it offers a good challenge. My only real problem is that the sound effects don't stay in one speaker or in both, they switch which makes them or the music during battles cut out.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from dont buy this game this game has poor graphics short storyline and bad sound. the only thing acceptable about this game is the customization. its like getting through trials to become a dragon master. thats it. the only way to get better is to make better armor. the battle system is so tiring. after a few battles you will just want to stop battling. it doesnt have any sound while the characters are talking unless its some kind of hint or something.the storyline is so poor you will be saying " i have got to take this game back" there is no actual training. just flying courses that are annoying. another thing is that the ability trees arent even worth looking at. the main thing is: dont buy this game. its not worth the ** bucks get the wii or xbox 360 version instead its much better than this one.
