The game was alright, I have to give it that . The character customization was nice because you could give you person armor and a weapon (or two). But the problem was that you could only hold 5 things instead of like a shield, gloves, boots, weapon, helm, body, and legs. Plus it was totally unorganized. Some of the bosses were really hard, but some were like a walk in the park. The storyline is rediculisly stupid. (Oh I must fill out the pages of my book so I can return home, but I might not even want to). Sound, the music is very repeatitive and boring. Controls I thought were dumb because it's the type of game were you hop around on spaces, right. So you think you could just zip thru controls with a stylus. Right? Wrong. If you want to use the stylus you have to double tap on everything. (At the end of the day stabbing the screen to death.) So that's a down side. Overall- I think it's an 8. Also meant for people that don't mind each little color square to be 10X10 pixels across.

I actually borrowed this game from a friend. I hated the original FFtactics for the PSX... absolutely despised it. Even now I despise it, I wouldn't even be able to bring myself to look upon it. My friend however forced me into playing this game and I am very pleased with it. The controls are easy and the utilization of both screens is close to perfect, there is nothing confusing about this game. And it presents a challenge, especially with "laws" and such. I've been playing for thirty hours and I'm only done with sixty quests while it seems like the game isn't even halfway through. The number of jobs is amazing and I really enjoy the ability to dispatch your characters. Finding enough materials to get another knife with a thief ability is a little frustrating though... I want to be a ninja... right now.... but NO, I have to get a fourth thief ability... Dang thieves. Oh well, I guess it's alright. But anyways, cool game, go play it.

I have been a big fan of the final fantasy tactics advance so i pretty much knew that i was going to get this game. At first i wasnt very impressed but when i got a little farther i was amazed. It is by far one of my favorite games.it is way better than the first one in many ways. First is that the combos are out.At first i thought that it was crazy that they didnt have it but now i think it is much more challenging without it and makes the game a lot more enjoyable. The second is that ther are a bunch more jobs to choose form and new weapons that give even more abilities. The last is creating things in the bazaar. At first it wasnt too great but after you get more materials i think it is awesome because if you have the right materials you can make a great weapon even when you are a pretty low level.I gave this a 10 out of 10 because i loved this game and i would without a doubt reccomend this to other people that lover tactical games.

This game is really amazing and I like the job differences in the 56 different jobs you can be and I also liked all the races you can choose from. And you can keep playing it. I already have 20 hours of playtime on it and I haven't even come halfway through the game yet. The game's never-ending story line and its gameplay is really fun. The other final fantasy tactics are also really great and I think that this one is another good one to add to the storyline. The 56 jobs can vary from the job in the past-time soldier, to the new job agent or raptor. And the game is actually pretty challenging with some of the missions you get. Once you have done them though, you get ready for what is prepared and you get used to the challenges in the game. And some of the parts look REALLY hard, but once you get the idea of it it gets easier. I would 100% recommend this game.

Final Fantasy Tactics A2 is a great game. This will keep you occupied for weeks, enough for the whole summer. If you liked the first one for the GBA, then you'll love this one, too. The sound is nice, but the graphics aren't much different. In my opinion, if they got Super Mario 64 DS to have the same graphics it had on the N64, then every DS game should have much better graphics. Anyway, the gameplay is deep, and character customization is really intricate because each guy can have different jobs or weapons or accessories. I wish it had online via wi-fi, that would be pretty sweet. In addition, the process of trading loot to the bazaar to get new weapons for sale adds another difficulty level to the game. Overall, this game is addictive and really fun!!! If you love RPGs or strategy games, or are new to this genre, this game is a great way to go!

Wow, I'm impressed at this game. I've bought it not long ago and been playing for so long. What I love about the final fantasy tactical games is that they never end. I've got 46 hours on the first one I play on gameboy advance and never got bored. Now they come out with 2 and it's even better! I love how they put more jobs and the new bazaar where you combine the loot you get from finishing quests in weapons and armor. This game is basically you start out in school and you have to clean a library b4 you leave. In the library you open a book and you decide to write in it then you teleport to monsters. There you join a clan. There are clan trials where you can up your clan levels. I also love how they put in the auction where you try to buy land. All in all, great game deserves to be bought. Trust me, if you like strategy you'll like this.

This is easily the most thought out DS game out there. It has to have the longest play time and replay value, if you finish, of any DS game out there. I own tons of other DS games and this one easily is the best of the best. If you enjoy any other final fantasy game out there you should pick up this game. Other games like MarioKart and New Super Mario Bros. are fun and easy, but not challenging; anyone can play through those games and win in about 20 hours. I agree that in FFAT2 it's long and everything seems to repeat itself, but I still find myself picking it up and playing some more. If you don't have patience DO NOT GET THIS GAME!! This game takes countless hours to beat. It's not going to be a walk in the park. This game is intended for those who love the FF franchise.
Rated 10 out of 10 by JuicyNuggets Well worth the money!!!
I am a fan of the Final Fantasy franchise, but I have never gotten into Tactics. I have never played/touched FFTA and I have only played the PS1 Tactics for about an hour, so I new the basics of the series. I had to choose between getting this or getting FF4DS, and I think I made the right decision. This game is obviously long, with so many missions, I can't begin to think about me finishing them all. The character customization is incredible, but I don't see where it is too much different than any other FF game. The real draw to this game is its length and strategy elements, making the game an insanely long length and the gameplay a paradise to the fans. Its a good buy if you have the money, it is a little more for a D.S. game than normal, but worth it.
Rated 8 out of 10 by StarViper Could've Been Better
Put Plainly, The Story outright was just terrible. Im sitting around playing this game with a level 86, Beaten Illua several times, beaten the five kings mission and I sit there thinking whats next? Even with 250 of the games quests completed and only 75 hours to do it, more should have been added. What really angered me was the only wifi they decided to put in was a really poor raffle for an item system. Id rather take on people on wifi with my band of 6 and my combinations against theirs. The Main story was very predictable, get sucked into a book, find a way back, hooray, a three year old could figure it out. The Side quests were the good part of the story such as the Duelhorn side quests. Over time I actually grew to like Duelhorn, until i completed all the quests and wasnt rewarded with anything of use to me at all. Customization was well done, but could've been done better, graphics were much better than the GBA version of the game, The Interface was simple enough so the most moronic of people could use it, which is good because it had a decent combat system that posed a challenge on some quests and not so much on others. I would recommend this game to others, just not as highly as I would have prior to the games release.

I just got my game today and I played for 6 hours straight...The beginning is quite interesting, the characters are riveting, the graphics are almost the same as the old GBA one but the spell effects and attack effects are really amazing. The music is still almost the same as the old one which brings back sweet memories. So far, the storyline is very engaging as Luso tries to discover the path that will bring him back to our world. If you liked, loved or were addicted to the first Tactics Advance, then you will feel the same way about this! Its a must-have for any RPG/Strategy lover who owns a DS! Its very challenging and engaging. The interface is still the same yet its easier to tell who goes next in order. The spell effects have changed dramatically.
