Rated 10 out of 10 by Frenchy Just What I Was Looking For
I would like to start off by saying that this is a great game and I recommend it to anyone who LOVES final fantasy games. The graphics are breathtaking. Ive been looking for a game with 3D graphics for the DS for a long time and I finaly found it! The lifelike buildings and villages make you feel like you are in the game, and the cutscenes are absolutely superb. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Ring of Fates takes you on a journey with two twins, Yuri and Chelinka, who are trying to take vengence on the ones who killed their father. You can already see that the storyline resulting from the conflict will be amazing....and it is. The sound is to die for. It makes the game seem so much more real and sets the mood of the game perfectly. It is so moving and allows you to feel the story as well as play it. I recommend it to anyone who loves the DS system and final fantasy.
Rated 10 out of 10 by Matt 0125 Awesome Final Fantasy
ok now i like final fantasy turn based, but im a huge fan of hack and slash. i heard that this game was comin out and i thought it would be good. then (for any of u that have m3 or r4 adapter) i downloaded it and i freaked out cuz it was hack and slash and i loved it. none of my friends have it but i tried multiplayer with my bro and its not bad. i dont really get y the story is like this but its a good storyline till the end. no wifi which stinks but hey you will love this game. kinda short like 10 hours, but as ive said its good. cant wait if they r makin another one. o and customizable acc and armor and weapons that will change your characters style. I give this game a solid 10 have fun with it and i hoped this helped you decide to get it. not too challengin for me but im a pretty good gamer so it might give u more of a challenge

This game has gotten such a bad rap that it is often been taken off of people's games to get list. At first they announced there would be limited multiplayer capabilities... Now they released you can do Missions with friends over wifi, or you can create your own character and play through dungeons without the storywork added into the game, create items, trade them with friends over wifi and more. This game has a good story that supposedly explains why events in the GC version of FFCC are the way they are. The removal of the chalice system is quite relieving, however it would not have happened in the game as it is technically the prequel, not a sequel. My views, the game will be an easy 8.5-9/10 on the rating scales. Get your DS ready, friendcodes written down, and prepare for a fun and addicting addition to the DS lineup!

If you're like me and you love RPGs, this would probably be a great game to buy. The storyline is very interesting, and the mutilplay is amazing. In Multiplayer Mode, You can choose whether you want to be a Lilty, a Selkie, A Clavat, or a Yuke. You can choose your gender and name, and the character customization is very good. Also in mulitplayer, once you beat Crystal Tower, you can then go to Belle River- a place that Crystal Chronicle fans will recognize. After that, you can play Hard mode. After Hard Mode, you can do Very Hard. Onto Story Mode, it has a great storyline and it gets very interesting. You will play as Yuri, the young Clavat. If I say any more, I would spoil it for you, so let me just get to my point. Both modes are great, and you can paint the Moogles. Added plus, right? I was thrilled to see another Crystal Chronicles come out, and I was happy when I found out that the fat moogles were back! I really enjoyed the CC for Gamecube. And, if I understand correctly, there's one coming out for the Wii... I don't have any major complaints about Ring of Fates. Square Enix did a great job making it. RPGs will always be the best! Thanks for reading, -Kelsie

I am definitely disappointed with Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles Ring of Fates. I was always a HUGE Final Fantasy fan until now. The hack-and-slash type battles take all the fun out of the game. I used to love the old turn-based system because it required more strategy and thought than thumb coordination. I have to admit, the graphics and animations are awesome. The sound is not too bad either. The story line is okay, but not the best. I would love to say that this is one of those games I would keep forever, but since I'm just no good at the hack-and-slash type battle thing, I probably won't be able to finish this one, even with the help of the strategy guide. This is just not an easy game to play. If you are a turn based type of person, I'd leave this one on the shelf and play FF III instead.
Rated 10 out of 10 by candiRSX Great combo of good graphics and gameplay
I definitely enjoyed playing. I usually like playing a game with good graphics, but it's usually hard to find one that's fun and challenging to play as well. This game definitely has a great combination. Go figure! It's Square Enix. They usually have great games with awesome graphics and gameplay. Hence why they have so many final fantasies out. I highly recommend this game. I actually chose this over the World Ends with You because of the graphics which surprises me because they're Square Enix as well. I definitely recommend this game to those who like the RPG games with real time fighting. I'm so used to Kingdom Hearts fighting that it's hard for me to get into the Final Fantasy fight style. I'll probably check World Ends with You out, but definitely try this game as well.

To you all final fantasy fans out there this game is for you, BUT with a twist... it’s a hack and slash as well. The graphics in this game is great and so is the combat style and storyline too. Bosses in this game are HUGE and some are hard to beat, you can customize your teams with an outfit that’s out of this world and weapons too. You hack and slash through monsters to gain Exp points and goodies, they even dish out magic balls like, fire, ice, thunder, cure and such to use on the monsters and bosses. Oh boy, there’s this skills thing, let me tell you something, it's the BOMB. When you reach to a level you gain new skills. All and all it's a MUST Buy; also pick up Magical Star sign. Those are the best two greatest RPG's for the DS now!
Rated 10 out of 10 by Music_prodigy_guy Best DS Game EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......
For me, this game was AWE-SOME!!!!!!! The playability was excelent, mostly because it was sort of "Free Reign" and I also liked the fact that you could cycle through characters. The fact that the different characters had different abilities was definately a plus , for example, the Selkie's ability to double jump. The graphics were especially good. Also, I liked that you could make your weapons cheaper than you could buy them. This game gave me hours of enjoyment and never really got boring. The new game + and new game ++ added extra length to the game, so that was good for extra length, This game is definately a great one and "should be" up there among some of the top games!!!... I had lots of fun playing this game and it is totaly worth ** bucks so, yea!
Rated 10 out of 10 by Animefrk1 Square Enix at it's 2nd, but nevertheless, best!`
What can i say about this game? It's AWESOME for those who like their RPG's with Real-Time Combat. it mixes everything you lov e about Final Fantasy with a compelling, somewhat childish, and (in my opion), moving, touching, and intriguing storyline. I won't spoil the ending, but I will say this. Be prepared to grab a hanky, scratch your head, and desire to keep diving in. I laughed, i cried, I got mad at the villain, I laughed again, cried again, and shed a tear when the credits rolled. All in all, I am VERY glad to have spend the money for this title, and am looking forward to the sequel. It may not be as polished as its' seque, sue to the choppy graphics, but those aside, it was an AWESOME story. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Rated 0 out of 10 by Mimi_kamure Sounds O.K.
Ring Of Fates sounds okay, but otherwise, really stupid. The one for gamecube, let you choose your race, your look, and pretty much let you play the game your way (albeit repetitive.) This game, it sounds like you can only be a clavat, the storyline sounds a bit complex for this series, and the multiplayer for thus game sounds like its only going to be minigames. Horrible. At the same time, it sounds like a good adventure, with really good interactions between player and NPC. I'm probably going to end up getting it. Besides, i've been craving for this game since I heard of it, like, 2-3 years ago.
