A Really Fun Game
This game is the newest game i have received and it is one of the best for the ds game i have. This game has a great improvement from the last game. It is a whole different game. It is a lot of fun to play with friends. You find these Omegas that will help you through your journey back to your own home. It gets very difficult after a while. I have never put it down since i have got it. My only problem is the wi-fi you never find anyone you have to wait like 5 minutes. When and if you beat the game and you forgot to upgrade an omega or find a battery pack or pink Elebit you can always go back. For anyone who wants this game for that Wii version feel to it then do NOT buy this game. But if you want a new improvement to Elebits Definitely buy this game, and who can ever forget that awsome Elebits art So BUY THIS GAME!

Similiar concepts; different story.
Normally I usually avoid playing preview demos on the Nintendo Channel, since they usually disappoint in the process. But here, Elebits: the Adventures of Kai & Zero genuinely brings a new twist to the classic theme. Since the demo only gives a glimpse of the storyline, there's no possible harm of unleashing any spoilers. Basically, the storyline is this, Kai from the first Elebits, ends up in another dimension, due to his father's latest invention, a time-travelling bus. His companion happens to be a new type of Elebit, an Omega, who can absorb other Elebits and acquire watts for energy. And is known as Zero. Essentially, there's good news and bad news, the good news is the time-travelling bus works, the bad news is, its power supply is drained and Kai and Zero are stranded. The only way they can get back home is for Kai to collect Elebits. As with the original, Kai has a Capture Gun for immobilizing Elebits, while Zero can 'catch' them for storing energy. Mainly this works by touching Elebits with your stylus, then touch Zero before the power level depletes (which then Zero just gets immobilized for a short time). The Elebits world is lush, and the graphics are similar to Toon images displayed on the Wii, the demo revealed the controls are precise and smooth. Besides freezing Elebits with the gun, Kai can also shake trees and lift rocks (as he could in the Wii Version) for finding different Elebits. Another new concept are the Elebits Doors where Kai has to use the gun for transferring Watts for opening them. As well as the 'Elebit Bridges,' where Kai can not only energize them but pull them towards him. Once he stands on the platform, it will 'slingshot' him and Zero across the chasms. In the demo, they were only one-way, but that may change in the final cut. The Omega Elebits are the new version of these critters. Whereas some used different forms of electricity, the Omegas utilize different elements, which Kai can implement for getting past certain obstacles. The demo revealed the Fire based one, which helped burn down brier-patch barriers for Kai to pass. But it ended abruptly with Kai freeing the Ice-Based one, assuming it helps him cross water obstacles. The good thing about the Omegas, you can switch them out and still use them for snagging Elebits. Also, from what I played, this time around, the DS game has transformed this adventure into an RPG. Meaning you have a quest in finding 50 Omegas, while conversing with the villagers and dealing with a rival as well, who knows Zero, and the Omegas, real secret. Overall, with the classic concept revamped into a new platform, the transition appears fluid and is appealing, I'd definitely give Kai & Zero worth a look.
