I think this was designed for the young or young ar heart but if your imagination yearns for the reality of dragons you will probably enjoy this title. The graphics are far better than I would have expected for this title. The game play is a series of fairly well thought out activities (not really mini-games) that one must carry out in order to catch, categorize and aide these dragons and it was well put together. The first thing that strikes you is that it obviously was NOT thrown together or rushed out in production. I can't say it's deep, and the length I can't speak of as I'm early on in the game yet, but for a casual experience with dragons, based on the books its enjoyable. Certainly the interface is well done and other games would do well to learn from the directness of this games control system and responsiveness. If you were a nature conservationist and applied this to dragons, this is the way it would probably play out, with a bit of 'lore' added for flavor. Again for the price, it is definitely enjoyable, just don't expect to be highly stimulated by the activities. I guess you could say this is Pokemon with Dragons without the battle system, at least from the collection and classification stand point. This should have been released just before the Potter Films including the dragons.. but I have not read the books which actually provided the reference material for this game, you can be sure I will now though...

My son (who is 3 going on 4) really enjoys the dragon series of books, I have already introduced him to gaming with other titles, like Franklins Adventures, also for the DS and so on. This is a "Edutainment" game, educational and entertaining at the same time. Hope its as enjoyable for him as the books.
