Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker
WHY AREN'T THEY SELLING ANY MORE NEW ONES?
This game is great. I think of this game as a little bit of FF and pokemon and digimon. The battle system is just like FF, well almost. You can choose the style of how they att and who. or just let them att on their own. You scout monsters. Scouting if you're new to DQM is basically catching a monster. But the more monsters you have, the more likely you are to get that monster. You have to sync your monsters every now and then if you really want to see the best of DQM Joker. The monsters are ranked from F-S (apparently there is a rank X but i haven't seen it yet so i can't really confirm that...) Overall this game is great. Why they aren't selling any new ones is just messed up. The monsters are cool. I do like syncing monsters the best though, i'm just amazed at what can come out of 2 low level monsters and eventually you sync so many times you have these huge monsters that can dominate everything!
This first NDS installment of the dragon quest/monsters series is actually a really good first try. The story is kind of fascinating and is simple. Fans of the series will especially enjoy this game. If anything I do have one major problem with this great game and that is it's not very long. With this game and its series to back it up you'll assume it'll take days possibly weeks of your life away. Personally this game only took me a good 22 and some hours to beat which isn't all that long. But with breeding to gain all monster data this game should take twice as long if you feel like accomplishing that task. Some of the puzzles and creative monsters in this game really help it out in my book. If you're a fan you'll really enjoy it especially the addition of the new monster called the Incarnus. Bosses are pretty easy if you leveled up which shouldn't be a problem due to the puzzles. So all in all it's a good game id give it a 8.5/10.
A well made game with a few minor flaws that can be easily ignored. The most annoying issues are grammatical ones, so the gameplay is unaffected. The gameplay is fun as well, requiring that you travel from island to island to visit the challenging shrines. Put some thought into breeding your creatures. You will be glad you put some time into synthesizing powerful monsters once the end of the game rolls around. One thing that is unfortunate about DQM:J is the fact that since it isn't as popular as say, pokemon, it is much harder to find fellow players to enjoy the game with. Don't worry though, because the game is still awesome even as a standalone title if you are into battling/collecting fun and varied monsters.
I like this game beacause all of the deatails tey put into this game. This game leaves behind so much suspense every time you get further in it.The action is just like many other games i haved played especially when you get to command your monsters what to do and the stroger you get the better monsters you get to scout. The grapics in this game are amazing espically the story parts and in game play the grapics are good to.The game isn`t that long but if you`r not use to puzzles it will take you forever but that will just make your monsters stronger.I wouldd recommend this to all game lovers that like puzzles first timers for kids like 12 and up,The game is challieng because it`s just so weird to get arond especially if you want to dodge monsters i highly reccomend fighting because that`s one of the best parts in the game.
The original Dragon Warrior Monsters for the gameboy is by far one of the best games I have ever played. Heck, I still play now. This new one looks like it is going to rule! Can't wait for it!
Pokemon With Dragon Quest Monsters
This game was pretty nice. The fighting was awesome and this game is a good pokemon copy. The most of the monsters were cool. Unlike pokemon you can get weapons of your monsters witch was pretty nice. The only problem is that the map is extreamly anoying. The game reminded me of pokemon colosseum alot with an epic twist.
just like pokemon who doesnt like pokemon...haters
as said just like pokemon, my advice to you is you shouldnt switch around on your monstersthe graphics arent that bad, gameplay is great thats it................what are u doing reading this, go play it!....NOW!!!
Amazing for all gamers
Great game. Ignore coment left about no slime or winkys as partners cuz i have both. Loved this game. Interesting story and tons of scoutable monsters. plus 2 make the game easyier u can get a king slime by commbining 4 slimes. (do it before going to the bowl shaped placed in the game will be really easy but still fun) If u like dragon quest gget it
play it in japan kind
i play one from japan and it is cool seeing all the old monsters and you can use scout to get more monsters u get to choose from 3 starter monsters and i got dracky he is one of my favorites. In a scout is some thing your pet uses to c if your enemy monster wants to join your team if they do they will join you.
Looks like a winner for the DS
This game is shaping up to be a great buy for the DS even if you've never played a Dragon Quest/Warrior game before. You can capture and train your own monsters. You can also cross-breed them into more powerful versions (once they reach level 10+ ). I can't wait to get this and DQ9 when they come out!
