Product Details:

Before setting off on their adventure, players can create their own heroes, deciding how they would like their face, hair and clothing to look. As the story unfolds, players become stronger, smarter and more powerful, and can customize companions who join their group. Players will have fun discovering more than 1,000 pieces of clothing, armor, weapons and other items that will provide them with a unique appearance and special abilities. Players can also change the class of their character at any time, choosing from a variety of vocations that will affect their abilities and strengths in the game.

In DRAGON QUEST IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies, players begin their adventure as a city guardian who is sent to retrieve a sacred tree's fruits, which have the power to grant wishes. Players travel the world, conquer fearsome monsters and unravel an epic storyline. During their journey, players will encounter mighty opponents in fast-paced battles, and also interact with a colorful cast of characters.
DRAGON QUEST IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies contains special modes that let players share their adventure with others, allowing up to four players to team up via a local wireless connection and experience the fun of tackling challenging monsters and dungeons cooperatively with their own characters. Players can even leave the game active in their backpacks, pockets or purses and still interact with other players via an interactive "Tag Mode." Information about players' characters can be wirelessly transmitted to others, and treasure maps and customized greetings can be exchanged automatically by players who come within range of one another when their games are set to Tag Mode.
Players looking to enjoy a variety of different game activities can take on special side quests. Some of these quests will be earned by progressing through the game, while additional quests will be made available for free download for players with broadband Internet access after the game launches, providing hours of additional content for virtual adventurers to enjoy either on their own or with friends. Some downloadable quests will continue the main storyline of the game, while others offer standalone missions.

If you have ever thought of getting this game but didnt, that is a bad choice. Good game and once you beat it the game gives you 20 new maps. each mounth the game has a new map based on that month.

This game is my favorite game. All I did was go to Gamestop, traded in a bunch of my old games, not knowing what game to get. Then, the salesperson suggested this game. I wasn't sure at first, then I tried it. Best game ever to me.

I got the game and got it used. it would freeze up and i had ceep startin over, so i'd get the game new if i were you. and the multiplayer you heard about, that's only if other people have the game, and u've got 2 uze wi fi. i got action replay dsi and got a bunch of codes for the game, so you should get that 2. after a wile the monsters u got 2 fight are hard 2 beat, like a spider with a skull for a head,as of 4-7-12, i hav not beetan it. so think, think, and think some more over it. i'd get it, cause if you're really good at it you can have a lot o' fun. like i said, i'd get it.

This game is perfect for: casual gamers

RPGs. What do people think of them now? Now it's just "That's what Noobtubers use.". Now of course, you have to appreciate old RPGs to like this game. Once you're past that, you're taken on a magical adventure that will be in your mind forever. Your a Celestial (Angelic Creatures that defend Earthlings) Apprentice whom lost their wings in an incident and is now mortal. I was mesmerized by the game itself. I felt apart of their world. From falling down to Earth, and Fighting Corvus, I was entertained. The Graphics are simply cute anime-ish graphics that compliment the game. The sound mainly it either text popping up in a text box or music. Gameplay is bare-bones RPG. You run across a map. You fight monsters. And you have team members. The real star is the side-content. Once you've beaten the story, you think it's over. THINK AGAIN. There are MANY side-quests,and weapons,and monsters that you've never seen. With all of this on your plate, you're looking at atleast 100 hours of gameplay. Plus a Navi-like fairy whom is actually entertaining. This has been a Locksmith review.

This game is perfect for: hardcore gamers

When I first saw this, I was skeptical about getting it. Now I'm extremely glad I got this. It was about a year ago that I bought this game, and even now, I'm not done completely. There are so many quests to do, and so many items, weapons and clothing items to collect. Don't worry, there is an end! But it doesn't stop there. Playing with your friends can help a lot. It looks especially good on a large Nintendo DSi screen. There are some scary sequences, but it doesn't really contain much inappropriate content. The music is very fun to listen to; very moving. I always love to listen to it. One thing I do not like is that it can get repetitive sometimes. But that is really a minor issue, because I really get bored easily. Overall, this game is very fun. I would suggest it even if you don't like RPG's (role-playing games). This is a good game to start off playing, even if you've never heard or played the Dragon Quest/Warrior series. You will be stuck on it. I guarantee that.

I love this game. So far it's been my favorite out of the DQ/W games made! I love the ability to change armor and it for it to actually appear on your character. This game is so personalized! You began as an angel ready to start out on your guardian career when something screws up- I'll let you play to find out! The controls are easy enough, even for me! I'm typically just a watcher when it comes to games but this one was perfect for me. It keeps advanced gamers satisfied and I even got my sister (eight) hooked on it! I prefer this one over VI, too. All in all, it's an amazing game.
