No-holds-barred, sci-fi fighting action comes to Nintendo DS. Guilty Gear Dust Strikers features all 21 Guilty Gear characters from previous versions and now the battle takes place on multiple levels across both DS screens with up to four players at once. Players will have to navigate different types of floors and traps as they battle CPU characters or other players via Wi-Fi connections.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Makes Dark Souls look like Mario OMG, this game is hard. I love challenges, but this pulls you left and right while you have no clue what's going to get you next. It takes some time adjusting to a duo screen (I died several times because of this), but once you get the hang of it, it's still hard. Kudos for adding Contra 1 and 2. They are Nintendo classics that should be kept alive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awsome game Ya! This game is soooo much fun. I love it. This is one of the best D.S. games. Although it's waaaaaaay to hard. Easy is hard, normal is really hard, and hard... were not going to go there. All the contra games are hard, but this one takes the cake. I love Kirby. Kirby I can sit down, play, and not die, but this ohhh. This game would be my favorite game on the Nintendo Double Screen if you had unlimited continues. Although instead of getting a cheap ending like the other games when you beat it you unlock special features. Beat it on easy, and you get a gallery of every Contra game that gives discristions about each one. Beat it on normal, and you get to play thourgh the first Contra game. Beat hard... o.k. I won't spoil it (I never beat hard). This game is great, but if you're casual gamer I sugest looking else where.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent Contra 4 really is not a bad game but it's way to hard even on easy. I love the power ups and the game play though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A classic... kinda The fourth game in the contra series after the two on NES and one on SNES (not counting Force) and a great one, too. The graphics are simliar to the classic ones except more "modern." The game still keeps the difficulty that the Contra series is known for. It's a must have for any retro or modern gamer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from retro shooter contra is awesome! First off this game isn't for everyone because it is very difficult. But those who get past the difficulty will find a very excellent experience. The graphics are awesome same with the animation. The sound effects are good , but the musics better. Once you beat the game you can go back and play it again which is even better than the first time you played. Back to the difficulty there are three difficulty settings. The only downside to this is if you play on easy you can't play the last to levels. This game is highly pollished and well designed from the characters to the levels. Another great thing is the nostalgia factor for people who played the original game. After you beat the game you unlock the challenge mode which presents you with different challenges to test your skills and by completeing so many challenges you unlock things like the original contra. I hope this review has helped you decide if you want to buy this game

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome game for DS I've been playing Contra since I was, I think, 7 years old. The first one I've played was Super C, actually. When I picked up this game for my DS, it was nice to return to the classic style of a 2D side-scrolling run-and-gun game. Too bad I misplaced the game, so I have to buy it again. Anyways, great graphics, great soundtrack, great difficulty setting to actually enjoy Contra, and it's still multiplayer for those who want to play with a friend. It's just a brilliant DS game. If you're a casual gamer, and you hate challenges that want you to pull out all your hair and scream like a little school girl (no offense to anyone), then you might wanna avoid this title, because this will beat you down to the ground pretty fast if you're not careful. If you've been playing Contra all of your life, and you just got a new (or used) DS and/or you haven't played this yet, then this is a game for you. One thing the retro gamers will like is that after completing 4-8 challenges in Challenge Mode (available after you beat the game once), you can relive the days of Contra & Super C, as they are unlockable and ready to play. Overall, it's an excellent title for the DS. Contra gamers, old and new, will enjoy it. And for the price of the game now, I don't see why nobody shouldn't get this game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best DS games so far I had never played a Contra game before, because i had never heard of it. I saw in Game Informer that it was one of only two or three DS games that they ranked in the top 50 games of E3. Then i saw the review and it got a 9.25 out of 10 (also in Game Informer) so i decided to give it a try. I'm not usually in to shooting games, but this was easily one of the most fun games i have ever played. It's a fast-paced, 2D side-scrolling shooter that's incredibly addicting. Even if you're one of those people who beats a game once and trades it in, you'll probably want to play it again. There's plenty to do, because you can only play a certain amount of levels on easy mode (i think it's six), a certain amount on normal mode ( i think it's eight) and a certain amount on hard mode( i'm not sure because i never tried but i would guess either eight or ten) and each time, there are more creatures and stuff that you have to shoot that are added and your weapons become less powerful (not by each level but each mode). Also, you can unlock some of the different arcade versions of Contra and play those.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Suckish This game was a nightmare! I had many times when the game froze when I paused it. What was really stupid was on easy you get to the 7th level and the game stops you from playing further. I said "Try playing the game on a higher difficulty for the real Contra experience. The graphics sucked and at the character select mode the characters were a bunch of colored squares. The game was impossible to beat. Even on Easy! I haven't played this game in over a month because it sucks. It still freezes on me. The pretty much stupidest part is that the weapons are different in easy then in normal or hard. Contra 4 was a disgrace to Konami. Contra 3 was the best of all of the Contra games. Contra 3 was way easier than Contra 4. Contra 4's story line was horrible. The bad guy just returns. I mean come on, the bad guy always returns in Sonic the Hedgehog.
