Best Handheld Music Game.
Pros: Can play with 4 people, Comes with drums and guitar
Cons: does not have download content
This game is worth buying or maybe preordering
This is basically the same deal with any other DS Guitar Hero game except you can play with up to 4 people and drums has been added along with mic. It still has the same problem as its' predecessors. No download content, but you can play this game on the dsi or dsi xl. You just won't be able to play lead guitar and bass.
So this is sadly the last installment for the ds lite and most likely the rest of the DS models. This was a great series of games with "almost" the same advantages and disadvantages. Kind of reminds me of the Dynasty Warriors franchise.
Rock band and other games in the music handheld genre won't compare as well because they don't have that guitar grip to go with it. A close 2nd or maybe even a tie would probably be Jam Sessions 1 & 2.
If you want more review information before deciding to buy this then check out my review of "Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades bundle" for 2.99. It covers some stuff that I choose not to say on here.

Not the best guitar hero game
This is definetely not the best guitar hero game. The song variety is terrible. I've seen seven songs from the other guitar hero games I've played. Seriously, is activision too lazy to try and get new songs? I just think that's sad. Other bad stuff : The character custimization isn't that good either, they mostly give you crazy clothes that no one would wear unless your like seven like: some viking costume , bunny ears, ram horns, a poncho, bird wings (there are like five different kinds of wings), bunny tail and regular cat-like tail, and many more. Also, there isn't a story mode, its just quickplay, which I was pretty ticked off about. Also so like the other on tour games the graphics are basically terrible. Okay, enough of the bad stuff, now for some good things. The song challenge is pretty good. So far there are two songs that I cant beat on expert on guitar. There is really nothing new to say about the guitar. The drums are suprisingly not terrible. But I've had two problems with it. First, it doesn't have the best responsiveness. Second, it can't close down all the way. Your basically pressing up and down and X and B when playing so you lose your grip, you can still play. There isn't much to say about vocals. There isn't really anything really bad about it, suprisingly. Another really good thing about it is the awards. There are at least 100 different awards you can collect and different awards for each instrument. There is something new called a stunt. In these stunts you do small tasks that you can get star power for ( of course you can also get star power by hitting star power notes). One thing I don't exactly like is that you miss out on part of the song if you do a stunt. But it's good if you want to miss out on a hard part. So, basically don't buy this game if your a teen or older.
