Rated 9 out of 10 by wiiguy12 Very Nice!!!!!!!!!!
I got assassin's creed for ds because they did not make one for wii :( and i did not feel like getting it for my computer. When i started playing it i was impressed with the graphics but a little bit dissapointed with the gameplay but as i progresesed through the game i began to start enjoying myself and have a great time playing it. The move combos when your fighting are cool but there are not many and you fight the same enemys all the time (which i don't really mind because im not a pickey gamer). Playing through the storyline left me a bit confused but it was ok and the ending left a opening for a sequel. The sound in the game was the thing i liked least about the game because there were only two music tracks: the none combat music and the combat music. Anyway to conclude i really enjoyed this game and you should get it. But if you are a pickey gamer and everything has to be perfect for you, you might not enjoy this game as much as i did.

I would not recommend this game. i got it as a birthday present and i ended up selling it back to gamestop (lol). the graphics are ok and the fighting is realistic, but it has some major glitches that made me turn it off and get stuck on a part. its also almost impossible to get the upgrades because there arent enough blue orbs to collect. its really a bad formatted game and i wouldnt recommend it to anybody. it would be a good game if followed up on the PC or another game on the DS. Overall, this game would be a borderline game that has about 30 minutes of fun in it. if you're stubborn enough to go out to the store and buy this game, don't be suprised on how disappointing it will be. to fill up the rest of the characters, a con is the failure to have sufficient blue orbs to satisfy the large amount of orbs requested to get a sub-par upgrade on your weapon or defense.
Rated 5 out of 10 by game241 Fun the first time through
Assasin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles was fun for the first couple of hours, but other than new weapons and abilitys,it gets old quick.Levels don't really have much exploring.Half of the jumps you either go to far or not as far as needed. Assasination targets don't run or put up a fight. The biggest challange is getting Altair to do the combo you want him to.Theres an annoying auto targeting which make you attak one person when you want to finish another. For a ds game the graphics are great!!! you fight the same type of enemys over and over. The story:your after a chalice...whopty-do.The pressure-point mini-game can be agrivating, but the picpocket game iskinda fun.The sound consist of two sound tracks: non-combat and combat .And then we come to the length: Its kinda short, I beat it in two days.Over all its o.k. if your really bored, and looking for something to do.
Rated 0 out of 10 by skippy Don't doubt the ds
I have alot of faith in what the game might turn out to be. the reazon why i say this is because the ds is capable of doing alot of things gamplay wize, and graphic wize (though graphics are somewhat limited). Take call of duty 4 for the ds for example. I haven't played it yet, but i has gotten great reviews all because the people who made it knew what they were doing. Also look up other games that don't 'seem' to fit for the ds that turned out good enough to rival other big time games, and some times be even better than them (Star fox command, Lost magic, Mario Cart, Elite Beat Agents, Metriod prime: Hunters, and Heores of mana are just a few that can drive my point even futher). so don't doubt the Ds just because you're not sure if it will be able to do the job, because if the developers do it right, then it any issue on how good the game will be
Rated 7 out of 10 by Alien Queen 124 Actually very fun
When I got this for X-mas I was very exiceted.I read a ton of reviews before I had my parents get it for me.When I first started to play it, I was hooked. It is half of the time like the console version to the PS3 and the 360 at times. The graphics are like other DS games.I have not beaten the game yet so I say that it is actually fairly long. The combat system I got used to very easly and the controls came along easy too.The sound was okay but sometimes was very annoying. You can replay each mission you beat but in sections or in other words chapters.T^hey did put stealth assinations but only with the main people you must kill. The game isn't very only challenging so that ruins alot of the game. The camera gets in the way a lot of the time but can be moved easly.I don not suggest this game to many people, only those who are Assassins Creed fans.
Rated 5 out of 10 by Buffalodude Good but buggy
Altairs Chronicles is a fun game for a little bit. Its length is okay, but you will find yourself wanting more out of it. Its controls are touchy, like when you want to jump across some ledges, if you don't jump perfectly, Altair will plummet to his death and you will have to retry from the last checkpoint. fighting is fun, but you find yourself getting bored of having to do the same combos over and over. Items like the crossbow and bombs are okay. Your main upgrades include wall jumping and getting blue orbs to up your health and weapon, but there's a glitch where if you restart your game the blue orbs disappear and you get no upgrades. The storeline is not great, but the graphics are one of the best for the DS. overall this is an okay game, but its glitchy and touchy controls don't make it enjoyable to go back through.
Rated 5 out of 10 by adam03cc Short and Easy
Very repetative and easy all around. I eventualy just turned the sound off cause I was tired of the same music over and over and over again. I kept hoping to further the combat combos but your limited to all of 3 moves and really have little control of wich Altair chooses to use when your playing. The story was alright and the pick pocketing mini game type thing was kind of neat cept when they made it absolutly inpossible to achive it perfectly. The 3d graphics were nice to see on the ds and achived well cept for the jagged lines and hidden walls. I was hoping for a more interactive map and maybe even a few more indepth levels all were short and unchallengeing especially the few and far between boss battles wich were just rediculous. Overall this game was fun for about an hour then I was just bored and dissapointed.

i agree with the person who said not to trash it before ya try it,this could be great,i mean,do you think the godfather is a good game for the wii?well there doing that, are you gonna sit there and trash the wii all because of that?appearently so,reveiws, fine,go ahead and trash it,but if you havnt played it then your just gonna look like a idiot, but if its a reveiw, your just a complete R-tard or just dont like the platform, and also,if you hate nintendo, then you hate vid games, they were 1 of the first vid game companys ever, and for my opinion on this game,i think its gonna be good, but it will be hard to play,we all learned that about DS when we played animal crossing, but its still awesome,im pretty hyped up about this game,i wish i had a 360....but id much rather have a wii,
Rated 0 out of 10 by DvdX Port of an awesome game gone bad?
First off, I love the DS, dont' get me wrong, great system, i have clsoe to 100 games for it....BUT...i do think the ports from next gen systems are bad...look at Need For Speed ProStreet....I got that the day it came out, i was VERY offended by it....the cars looked like something out of a PS1 game....if the DS is capable of 2Gbit (256MB) games, why are they so horrible looking? I can't think of any game that has used the 2Gbit ability...most games are 512Mbit....seen a few 1Gbit ones, Final Fantasy XII looked decent in it, it was only 1Gbit...i'd love to see a 2Gbit game on DS...if Assassians Creed did this, i'd be tempted to buy it....
Rated 0 out of 10 by fire lord This sounds amazing
thsi sound like a perfect use of the DS's features the touch screen, and the game could even be expanded into multiplayability withe the DS's wireless capibilites thsi sound like a great game paly oppurtunity and i Can't wait till its arrival. the DS is getting alot more attention from the larger publishers beacause of it's simplisity, the thought that both thsi and Ninja gaiden will be on the DS is terriffic. This was nintendo's dream by getting theselarger names on board with their simple new experience of touch and sound, not high frame rate and HD graphics thoes you can hardly notice. I can't wait
