Product Details:

Step into the shoes of a slick young lawyer in Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice - the fourth game in the thrilling courtroom series that puts your skills as a solicitor on trial. Featuring a cast of dynamic new characters and four fascinating cases for you to cut your teeth on, Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice brings all the drama of an action-packed crime thriller directly to your DS!

The first game in the series crafted specifically for the DS, Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice puts you in charge of title character Apollo Justice at the outset of his legal career. Controlling the game almost exclusively by pointing and clicking on the DS Touch Screen, you must guide Apollo through an investigation phase before defending clients in the courtroom. During the investigation phase you gather evidence by interviewing witnesses and scouring crime scenes for clues. After you've built a case, you must stand before a judge and defend the innocence of your client by cross-examining witnesses and revealing your findings. Whichever case you are working on, you can expect to become immersed in the deep and entertaining storylines that have become a trademark of the Ace Attorney games. As well as introducing Apollo, the game marks the arrival of several more fascinating characters to the series. There's Apollo's assistant; the young magician Trucy, who's mysterious powers can help you to tell when a witness is giving false evidence. There are also brothers Klavier and Kristoph Gavin - one a rock star and ace prosecutor and the other a level-headed lawyer who is always on hand with helpful tips for Apollo. On top of that, you'll cross paths with the star of the previous Ace Attorney games, Phoenix Wright, in the most dramatic of circumstances! In some of the toughest cases in the Ace Attorney series yet, you'll have to unravel multi-layered mysteries, defend more seemingly in-defensible causes and even persuade a jury of your client's innocence for the first time. And, as fans of the series know, no Ace Attorney game would be complete without the ability to intervene in proceedings by yelling "Objection!" or "Hold it!" into the DS microphone. So brush up on your legal skills and prepare for the bar to be raised as you seek the truth in Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice.
  • Take control of rookie lawyer Apollo Justice as he investigates crimes and defends seemingly hopeless clients in the courtroom.
  • Lose yourself in dramatic and amusing storylines, and meet colourful characters who may help or hinder you in your quest for the truth.
  • Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice is the first game in the series developed specifically for Nintendo DS.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Second Generation!!! Okay i have to admit, this is a great game. I mean just the best overall (no comparison to the first games!), but i just have 1 problem. What happened to Iris+ Phoenix !?! Not to mention Gumshoe and Maggey! Plus i could only play the second and third games so i only know trucy by the wiki... NEI (not enough info!!!) but if i had just played this game out of the series then i would have no problems at all. LONG LIVE PHOENIX!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Justice is served This is different from the phoenix wright in many ways. First is that this game takes place seven years after an event. phoenix is a main character but not the teacher to Apollo. The story is great, though I was a little disappointed by some of the characters. My main Question was WHAT THE HECK THEY DO WITH PHEONIX'S GIRL FRIEND, MAYA, AND PEARLS? The new "trilogy?" is excellent mix of old and new. The new cutscenes are excellent. I still like the original better then this one, but this one is extremely good. The 3D evidence and map are neat features. The style of the series is still there. The climax of this game is one of the best in gaming (Living up to the Wright tradition). You can just buy this game, and enjoy it without playing the others. But you get more out of the game by beating the Phoenix Wright Games. The PW games are all $20 or less so 3 games for 2 is great. So in all Apollo Justice has nearly all the comedy, style, and story of the phoenix wright games.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phoenix Wright is outdone? Impossible! Possible. Before you start reading my review, I would like to say one thing. If you are interested in this game, you should really play the Phoenix Wright trilogy first before you play this. There are a lot of references in the game of those games. First off, I'll start with the storyline. I won't spoil anything. It's about a defense attorney who gets 4 cases and tries to get a "Not Guilty" verdict in all of them. As usual, the story is top notch and the characters are outstanding. The cases are about as wild as you can get for all 4 of them. Now, I'll move on to the music. Anyone who's played the last 3 games knows that the music in this series is amazing. Apollo Justice continues this trend. Some new great courtroom themes were added, including a great theme for the new prosecutor/rock star, Klavier Gavin. Now, I'll go to the gameplay. The gameplay isn't really much, clicking and clicking and choosing where to go and presenting is the usual. However, they've added some new or pretty new stuff, like examining evidence. One of the new great things added is the Percieve system, where you look for a nervous twitch or habit while someone is testifying. They removed the Psyche-Locks, a great thing from the Phoenix Wright trilogy, however they added some great fingerprinting and footprint analysis for fun. This was seen in the 5th case of the first game. Some of the old and awesome characters are gone, but you will see some cameos and hear some references. Don't worry, old Phoenix fans, this game should please you very much!
