Great gaming but doesnt hold value..
Great gameplay great multiplayer and over great game but i wish it held its value from buying it for 15 dollars to going to 8 dollars personally the only thing i dont like is that: in order to download maps you need wifi. and that it doesnt hold its value over the time :l over all i give this a 9/10

Best Strategy game for NDS
This is an EXCELLENT title for the NDS. It has a great storyline. You must lead your Ragtag army through Apocalyptic wastelands and survive. It has heart stopping moments as well as humorous funny scenes. It has great graphics for such portable. It has great turn-based gaming system. It took me like a month and a half to complete it. It has a variety of new characters such as Will, Brenner, Caulder, Isabella, Forsyth, and many more. Advance Wars, Advance Wars Dual Strike and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising are nothing, I'm telling you, nothing compared to Advance Wars Days of Ruin. Its awesome!!!

Buy it, prices deceive you
I bought this game when it was $30...and I'd do it again if the one I have now broke ;). If you don't like strategy games, turn back now, know which games are best for you. I love strategy games where you can take your time and think about your options. This is one of those games. It doesn't have amazing graphics but it doesn't matter, because the gameplay makes up for it. This game offers an astounding story mode, tons of maps made for you, and an option to make and play your own. it's multiplayer on just one DS, which is worth some "awesome points" in my mind. If you like strategy games, buy it. period. ~therunner

A Must Buy
First off, i would like to say that the graphics, which everyone else has been knocking so much, are all that is needed for a game like this. and since they are so simple, not 3d or something, they can look perfect. But now back to the point. this is a fantastic game, with a huge amount of staying power. the campaign and the story are both great, with pretty decent writing. and yes it is a big upgrade from the previous ones, adding much needed units like battleships. i cant imagine advance wars any other way now. in summination: BUY this GAME! and you have no excuse not to, now that it is only 10 Dollars!

Just a new storyline!
My review , Advance Wars : Days of Ruin , is it a good tactical game. It's not the best one but I like it. I liked the old one too. It's just like the old one but only new storyline. That's mine downside. The upside is the storyline is great , It's like the dinasaur age again. Also , the graphics is better than the GBA [ obviously ] .. If you like war and tactical games. this would be the game for you. If you are an addict and you play all day , you can finish this game in 24hrs. IF you really are good at tactical games. Also , the bad thing is the bad guys keep changing, I asked my self if where did the other one go , he gave up? BUT don't that let you stop from buying this game. I don't guarantee that it has a good storyline enough for you but for me , it is :D

Poor Graphics, But great game. ;)
Just let me assure you that the graphics are the worst I've seen on DS yet. They might be worse than what appears in gameboy. If it weren't for the great battle functions, I would just throw it out. But the battle functions rival that of Age of Empires DS. The addition of air and sea was wonderful, it was the one of things that I felt their rivals were sorely missing. The battle animations are better looking than other games, thanks to the employment of both screens. But I miss watching people hack each other apart. The addition of stuff like gas or main vs. secondary weapons was slightly stupid, because if a elite unit runs out of ammo, especially an air or naval unit, because the unit then has to retreat to the nearest controlled airfield, city, or port to restock or else they are a sitting duck. The interface is a little annoying because the learning curve is stepper than most games, but it is more than made by the unique level editor. Finial Decison: Ever lose a fighter jet to missiles you can't see on any other game? Ever use a jet or missiles in any other game? You decide.

Changed, but still good
Advance wars seemed to be changed this time but it still remains as fun and challenging as ever. The AI seems to be a bit smarter in this advance wars, but most of the old tactics for tricking them still remain. This game is very challenging in some stages and acts as a tutorial in the first few stages. The graphics look a little bit better, now that it is on the DS. The Interface is good, but the sound is a bit simple, with most of it sounding like metal. Advance Wars Days of Ruin has, in my opinion, the best storyline out of all the games, despite the change of mood from the more serious war than a cartoon-like war. Advance wars days of ruin also takes Nintendo WFC over the top with great features like voice chat with friends. Overall I definitely recommend this game to strategy fans who really want a great experience
