Fantastic game I love it.
In my opininion okamiden is a fantastic game. Increadible graphics for DS standards and a nice epic storyline. I would most certainly recommend this to anyone. Now the game has its flaws such as some instances of slowdown and a few glitches but since this title is in the Nintendo DS it is impressive that they pulled it off. Even though I hate the missable stuff for getting 100%. I personally think that this game is very easy and wold sout casual gamers more than hardcore gamers. Even if there is one HUGE plot hole that I won't mention thanks to spoilers. I do not consider this a true sequel to okami it is a great adition to the series. If you were a fan of okami definatly give this game a try. And if you haven't played okami shame on you go play it. Bye
Must Play for Okami Fans and DS users!
Though a bit easy to play for hardcore gamers, the puzzles and charm from the first Okami is all wrapped into an adorable little package in this game. Its a bit frustrating in the start but well worth the effort and I hope Capcom will continue the series! All these games are some of the most beautiful endeavors on the part of game developers today and I hope to see much more from this underrated series. Really a must play just as the title implies!
Okamiden is just one of those games that captures you once you start it. If you're a fan of Okami and the wonderful storyline, then this is purely perfect. Great sounds, great new characters, great music and overall perfect as a sequel of Okami. I've already beat it and the new game+ content give the game a fresh new feeling.
I Was Somewhat Disappoint
I am a fan of wolves and bought Okami because of that. I fell in love with that game so I bought OkamiDen because a friend told me about it and it seemed fun. However, after I purchased the game, I was disappoint with how bad the graphics were. Also, I became confused with the storyline and the great number of scene portals made me very aggravated. The wolf pup can not run faster as it goes, you can't swim, jump off of edges, bark, dig,or pick up animals. The game is short, but the last boss is very hard. I would only suggest this game to those who have time to figure it out.
My New Favorite Game
I have experiance in every single gaming genre, and this one has it all. Action, Adventure, Puzzle, Role-Playing, etc. I love this game, and I am sure you will to. From the music, to the fighting, the cute funny cut scenes, to even the celestial brush. It is just a great game, for casual and hardcore gamers alike. The boss battles are great. My favorite is the one against Kurow, not because it is easy, but because it is the only one where you don't need to solve some puzzle to defeat him. Just a straight up brawl. The art style is great and the graphics are great. Gameplay is just nice, you will want to play it twice, because after beating it the first time, there are a few prizes you get to use in the story mode. Chibiterasu is so cute, you will fall in love with him. I highly recommend this game.
Not as i expected
This game is worse than okami because you cant swim or jump off cliffs. The worst part was you couldn't even see the Oina tribe. You always switched partners and you were timed on painting celestial marks and your ink pots don't automaticaly reload!
One of the best games I have ever played!
In most games the places are all the same and its the same things over and over, but in Okamiden you have to change the scenery to find clues, treasures, and help get where you need to be. One of my favorite parts of the game is the music. Each area has its own music so its not the same old music the whole game. If you like games that take some time and has a great storylines, then this is the game for you.
Excellent On-The-Side Game!
I bought this game in the spur of the moment seeing as there were not many DS games I hadn't tried... I LUVED IT! This game was so flexible! You can play it during your spare time. It isn't like Rhythm Heaven where you can play any game, any time, or like Pokemon which can take up ALL your time... OkamiDen was perfectly in the middle. Although the puzzles can become challenging and the cutscenes may go long, this is no reason to deprive your best friend, boy/girlfriend, or relative of the magical Celestial Brush! DS was an excellent platform for the game considering it's dual screen technology and stylus! I felt very satisfied when I finished: Great story, touching dialogue, intense fights, and a LOT of drawing! Besides, Chibiterasu is so stinkin' cute!
Not Worth My Time
I'm a die-hard Okami fan, so I pre-ordered Okamiden and everything. However, when I got to playing it, I was very disappointed. The graphics are awful at best and the plot is confusing. For players who have experienced Okami, it was probably a little nice flashback game, but other than that...it lacked. Okamiden was supposed to be cute, but the graphics made it hard to see anything. The controls were difficult to master....Don't buy this game. It's certainly not worth your time.
A Japanese tale
The reason I pick up this game was because of its title. The game isn't all that bad but the graphics isn't the best. What I like about this game is the storyline because it is like telling an epic Japanese story about gods fighting demons preventing the destruction of the world. The paintbrush ability is more powerful as you progress through the game as well as gaining more abilities you can use in battle and outside of battle.
