Prepare to die...again!
Sorry, we're not usually that harsh, but Dark Souls II is really freakin' hard. As the sequel to Dark Souls and the spiritual successor to Demon's Souls, this is not a game that holds your hand. Instead, it holds your heart, squeezes until you cry a little bit, and then kills your character right in front of you. Bumskers.
If you've already played Dark Souls or Demon's Souls, you know how much each little victory in these games feels like a huge win. The same will hold true in this Dark Souls sequel, because the harder it is, the prouder you are of overcoming the most evil and demonic creations in video game existence. You'll be the only one of your friends to be able to say, "Oh, Dark Souls II? Yeah, I beat that game. Someday you might know what it feels like to be a champion, too."
The Dark Souls II release date is Tuesday, March 11, on consoles, and Wednesday, April 30, on PC.
