Product Details:

The Seagate® Expansion External hard drive by Seagate offers an easy-to-use solution when you need to instantly add data storage to your computer.

  • The Seagate® Expansion desktop drive provides extra storage for your ever-growing collection of files. Instantly add space for more files, consolidate all of your files to a single location, or free up space on your computer's internal drive to help improve performance.
  • Setup is straightforward; simply plug in the included power supply and USB cable, and you are ready to go. It is automatically recognized by the Windows® operating system, so there is no software to install and nothing to configure. Saving files is easy too - just drag-and-drop.
  • Take advantage of the fast data transfer speeds with the USB 3.0 interface by connecting to a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 port. USB 3.0 is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 for additional system compatibility.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Missed the sale Only reason I gave it a 9 was because I missed the sale which had it at $99 instead of $129. I bought mine in store, different design but same amount of storage. Works just fine, set up was a breeze, and it runs very quietly. What else could you ask for? Good product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Research, plan and pay attention. Best adice I can give about expanding you're Xbox one's storage capacity: Research what's out there, Plan on how much space you will need for the console's life cycle and how much you've used. Pay attention to what the size of the drive is and price changes/sales/reviews. Remember that you have a limited amount of USB ports unless you buy a USB expansion too. I unfortunately went to my local gamestop and grabbed a 3TB drive without thinking or planning when in the long run I'll probably need a 5TB drive. Learn from my stupidity. The drive came out of the box and connected right up to the Xbox one like it should have. It formatted itself and after a bit it was ready to go. I've had this drive for a few months now and haven't had any problems with it. My only gripe about it: I have it in my room and at night the drive kicks on and off when the Xbox is off. Blue lights blinking and you can hear it somewhat when its turning on and off. So if all I can complain about is the lights and sometimes hearing the unit turn on and off then this is a pretty good buy. Pros: +Easy setup +Doesn't take up much space Cons: -Drive turns on and off at night and that can be a little annoying. The design isn't bad, not that I care about it's design so much as if it works or not, which it does work. It performs just as it should. What it boils down to is what size drive you need. If you're a casual gamer then you probably won't need an external drive and if you do, you won't need too big of a drive. If you're a hardcore gamer and play tons of games, figure out how much space you've consumed in the amount of time you've had the console then plan on how much more you intend to use in this console's life cycle. If you plan on using the DVR feature for TV shows you need a seperate drive dedicated for that. I'm not sure what the max size drive is you can connect or how many drives you can connect at the same time but USB spce is limited on the Xbox one. This isn't a bad drive and I do recommend it but I would buy the 5TB version instead. That way you have space later on in this console's life cycle. Hopefully this review helps.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does its job! I'm very happy with the sea gate expansion it added to my memory smoothly the only thing I don't quite get is if it's ok to unplug it from the power outlet or do I just have it on the whole time. It runs fine sometimes you can hear the fan it's not a big deal. I'd be happy to purchase from sea gate again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from READ THIS COMMENT i know some people have hundreds of stuff going on so maybe 3tb is not enough or just right, but with my 500gb hard drive being 75% used with a couple apps and dozen games, i added a 1tb from best buy for 50 bucks, as big as my note 4 cellphone, and now have 26% used, so for 150? not bad i suppose but if you just need more space i suggest buying what i got!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good hard drive. Walked into Gamestop looking for an external hard drive for my Xbox One. Walked out with this product and couldn't be happier with the choice. It's small so it fits nicely just about anywhere. It is not loud at all like another review claimed it to be. You plug it in to an outlet and then to the Xbox One with the USB cable. The Xbox will ask you to format it and that takes about 20 seconds. After that, you now have 3 more TB to use on your console.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well with Xbox One. Alright, I bought this expansion hard drive cause I ran out of memory space on my Xbox One. (I have a 500gb one) Got home opened the box, read the instructions, very simple installation.Box includes the hard drive, 3.0 usb cable, and the power plug,(also the instructions manual, along with the 1 year warranty). Almost ready to use instantly, formatting on the Xbox just takes a few minutes. Takes up about 260gb, so you get 2.7tb out of it, plus the 500gb you have already. Only two things that bothered me at first, were that one, it's kind of big. (About the size of three Xbox one game case stacked). Second was that you can sometimes notice the fan it has, when its very quiet, but It's something that doesn't bother me anymore. Other than that it works great, I have recommended to a cousin, he had bought a WD hard drive and was freezing up his console, he ended up buying one of these himself and it has worked fine. Well, this is my review, based off on my experience with the Seagate 3Tb Expansion Hard drive. Thanks for reading, hope it helps.
