Xbox 360 Afterglow Wired Headset
Perfect Headset for gaming
This headset is sick. Never had proper headphones before and these really are amazing. They are very comfortable and the sound quality is amazing. You can't hear a thing from the outside world when you have em on and they truly help to immerse you fully in the game. I have used these for Fifa and the way the fans in the stadium sound is incredible. Feels like you're really there!
The microphone is also perfect. You can hear other players with clarity and they can hear you perfectly. No shouting necessary.
Really easy set up too.
All in all these are exactly what I was looking for. Oh and they look very cool/stylish too!
Overall Very Satisfied
I bought these about a month ago and for some reason I got blue instead of green but I never bothered to return anything cause I didnt really care. What I did care about was quality and funtionality and guess what I got both. I can not say this for other Afterglow products but I can say this for sure about this headset and please do not listen to the other review as im not sure what he is even mad about hardly. though there is no Immersive audio with the wired version of this headset I love bass boost and always have it on. The only main problem i have had is for some reason everything on the PC is considered chat volume and im not sure if this is correct but it works fine regardless so i do not really care. For the price though this is one of the best headsets you will ever buy in my opinion.
I have not had my head set for very long maybe 2 months and the wire insulation has already harden as if it was 1yr old and my wire has broken. I put it in the box when I am not using it. They have great sound and the mic is wonderful. I just wish they lasted longer.
Speakers themselves are OK, Mic is low quality.
I got this headset for Christmas and I was very disappointed when I found out that the mic is bad quality. I tested the speakers before hand on my computer, and they have an avid bass boost and are all around good. The problem is the design, and the mic. I was about to play Halo 4 with my friend Cole, and after I said "hey" he asked if it was broken. I explained to him that I bought the Afterglow headset hoping for something better. He described the quality as the mic from the first episodes of "Red vs. Blue", a YouTube series. One thing that bothers me about the design of the chat/game volume knobs. The game volume turns left to go up, as shown by the icon that tells you that. I thought the same for the chat volume, it took me a while to figure out that the chat volume requires you to turn it right instead of left, why they made it this way I don't know. More about the design; It's way too flashy and the plastic band doesn't light up as much as the picture shows. The headset is very bulky and felt much larger than others I've had, Before this one I owned a turtlebeach X12, and used a turtlebeach X32. You'd be better off buying a 30$ Turtlebeach XLa. That's what I'm going to get after I attempt to return this. The chat cord that comes with it, for the Xbox, one of the ends doesn't bend, they're both straight. On a typical Turtlebeach headset, the end for the controller bends so it's easier to move around. Not with these. The mic is retractable, which is cool. But I think they shouldn't have sacrificed the quality for looks.
im soo totally gettin 1!!! for Christmas i love afterglow and im going to love this headset cuze it lights up blue....
AMAZING, with minor problems.
One day my friend came over with his new Turtle Beach headphones that were like 50 bucks, he told me they were pretty good and like nothing I've ever heard before and he was right. So of course me being me, when I got money and the chance to go to game stop I bought some of these new cool looking headphones thinking they were a million times better than my friends but in reality they are just the same but the only difference is mine can be used for not only the X-box but my PC, and Zune and also I pods... Etc. After having these headphones for a few months I have discovered some problems with them... they can have really annoying small problem that nobody wants to deal with, for example one night I felt like falling asleep with them playing music but instead they decided to just not turn on or turn off after I finished charging them...the only thing the headphones did was make this annoying little low toned hum for about six- eight hours. I literally couldn't do anything with them for that long, luckily that has only happened once but I have noticed some small problems when using them for my PC. An example would be they don't change volume when I try to change it and I have to turn them off then back on to make it perfect. OTHER THAN THOSE Cons they are just Beastly headphones for gaming. It was a good buy until I realized I spent 50 dollars more than they are for sale now. But w.e P.S I didn't get the color I wanted for these headphones.... D:
