by letrittonbuyer This head set is awesome, very impressed.
i was reading the reveiws for this head set and i saw so many negative ones. i have to say i think they are all lies or maybe just their bad luck. the design is very sturdy very comfortable. the only problem i had was my ears getting a little sweaty after long piriods of time, but all i had to do was take em off in between games and it was all good again. also there isn't going out and buying more cables, you get the following: Xbox cable, optical cable, converter box, usb to ps3/xbox, stand where you can set the converter box, the actual converter box, the headset, and the microphone. Another thing is i don't see why people say that's there are so many wires, i only have 2 wires coming out of the back(usb to ps3/Xbox and optical cable) and one wire in the front (the headset connector). I also like the little controller where you connect the xbox cable it has your voice volume, and if you press it takes off the function where you can hear your self from the head set, also it has 2 game volume controllers one on the converter box and one the controller thingy. you can mute the game volume witch comes in handy at times

by bestinthebiz AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got these headphones for christmas, and all i have to say is these have the best surround sound i have ever experinced! when i playing black ops i got shot from behind ( this rarely happens i used to be in the top 80,000 in the world till my ps3 broke and i had better things to do besides defend my title) but anyway i got shot and i jumped and turned around cause i thought i was about to get shot! ( i had the sound on high btw) then i was playing zombie's and it was intense! if you have the money or a birthday or something coming up definately buy or add this to your wish list! the wires a pain sometimes but besides that buy these headphones!
Rated 9 out of 10 by JSparx597 Cables, a tiny noise, but overall GREAT!
I did some research on various headsets to find out which one would fulfill what i wanted out of gaming. As I continued to look around this one kept on popping back up, but I avoided it because I read reviews that had said there is a static with it. After looking and looking I decided to just go with this one and I have loved it ever since. The cons that I can see so far are the fact that there are now more cables then I want lying around, Also, there is that static noise, but I had to turn the volume up pretty high in order to hear the static. The pros for me would have to be that I can now play my games in comfort knowing that I won't be disturbing anyone in my house with my game play, and also it's a huge step up from my basic 2.0 stereo system, letting me hear the necromorphs behind me now, and also gives me a step up to my Black Ops game now. Overall I gave this a 9 because there are few things that could be improved for this item, but the benefits that it brings far outweigh the cons for it.

SOUND IS SUPERIOR ! AWESOME EXCELENT !YOU WONT BE DISSAPOINTED , dont listen to those turtle beach die hard fans.try something different specially if you like surrouuuuuuund sound.YES there is a hissing sound when its quiet but which headset doesnt ? its not annoying and you only hear it when there is no game , but if the game started you wont hear anything, people who complain about this having too much cable !you've got to be kidding be !there not that much wire . unfortunately i have to return it this are the CONS FOR ME !!! is too small for my NORMAL HEAD .not big head . but i think theres a reason for that so you can enjoy the surround sound better ,it is a little heavy but i have no complains over that .. style is nice i like it my self .. so if your a hardcore sound addict you will love this product if you dont mind about the head lock and heavines .. so now im going to buy the DX11 and try it if does not work for me ill let you guys know ..

I decided to get a gaming headset about a month ago and after doing some research I settled on the Tritton AX720 for a couple of reasons. First off, the sound on these things is amazing-I've used some Turtle Beach headsets previously and these blow them all away. You really can hear anyone sneaking up on you, reloading, or pulling the pin on a grenade. Secondly, these are very comfortable to wear. They seem to fit better than the Turtle Beach models. I've had several buddies try them out and all of us came to the same conclusion-they are amazing. While they might be a bit more expensive than the entry level Turtle Beach sets, they out perform them greatly. Aside from the price, no real issues. No mic problems for me, no cheap design flaws etc. One caution though - you need to have an optical input on your 360 to plug these in. If you buy the Microsoft versions of the component cable or their hdmi cable, they come with the necessary inputs.

I was going to bestbuy to look at getting the turtle beach x41 headset when the storekeeper there told me about the triton headsets and how they have great wired headsets. it was a great price at 129.99 compared to the T.B. X41 which is 199.99, fairly steep price. This Triton Ax720 is great the sound quality is top notch, it feels like I'm inside the game. The one downside to it i think would be the beefy cable you need to use it, (not talking about the Xbox live cord, thats small. the one going from the power box to the headset is basically as big as my laptop power cord for my HP.) Besides the beefy cord, I have no problems with it, its great. and the cable for it is nice and long too. so i can sit easily 10 ft back from my TV while still connected to my headset. If the cord to the headset was thinner or wireless i would give it 10 on design. Overall its a 10, defiantly worth the buy and better then the T.B. X41 in my opinion.
Rated 6 out of 10 by KAHNAILEE Great sound, p!ss poor design!
I bought these about a month ago after going insane trying to use the stock headset for my 360. Overall the headset is very rigid, not comfortable, but with some getting used to they're okay. The sound is really good, if not great, but turning up the game volume will result in echoing towards other players -- that got annoying real fast.
Here's a summary on the design.....garbage. I went to set these down on my table, they slipped and fell onto the carpet. I pick them up and there was a crack on the cheap plastic supporting the ear piece. Paying $130 for a plastic cr@p is not what I strive for so I then got furious, roid-raged and threw the thing on the ground in disgust. Needless to say the thing grenaded and is now in pieces, see photo.
If you can risk $130 and tip toe around the cheap plastic for great sound, get these. Otherwise get a more solid headset, which is what I'm currently looking for now.

im a casual gamer that wasnt looking for a headset til i heard from a friend that there were many benefits to having a headset. was originally looking for something basic like the turtle beach px21. but then started looking into a surround sound headset and these were recommended by many of my friends. i have never owned a headset before so being that these are my first, i am very satisfied. amazing sound/quality. i havent really had a problem with them.
Only thing about them i had is the portability. i go to my girlfriends house every weekend and bringing these back and forth gets a bit annoying. they're easy to set up but too many wires and does get tiring if you are constantly switching locations. i kinda wanted the ear part to swivel like the astro a40s and have the chat boost like the turtle beaches but overall, VERY SATISFIED! love hearing enemy footsteps, watching bluerays, listening to music, etc.
i just wish that they included an adapter for my iphone so i can listen to music but not that big of a deal. Pretty happy being that this is my first headphone purchase
Rated 9 out of 10 by trittonfannn Great Headset, just not for everyone.
Overrall, this headset is INCREDIBLE!! Before you read this review, there are a couple things you need to take into consideration. The box contains everything you need but you may need to buy an AV cable with an optical port. If you didn't understand anything i just said, basically there is a cable the trittons come with that you need to plug into your xbox console, but not all consoles have it. They may have it here at gamestop but i bought mine at best buy so im not really sure. You'll only need the AV cable with an optical port if you have an older model of the 360, the new ones already have it. PROS of the AX720- amazing sound, looks cool, padding is comfortable, game and voice volume both go up very loud, or very low. CONS of the AX720- if you dont have the game volume/ voice volume playing there is a small feedback noise in the background. doesnt go through the mic so other people cant hear it, so mainly it isnt a problem. the only other con i could think of is that they are a little heavy on my neck and head so when im playing for a while, it'll maybe cause a problem.

These Tritton Ax720 are a WASTE of money. I own Turtle beach x11 and i have played with Astros' and Turtle beach x41. It is Undeniable that Astros are the most premier gaming headset for profesional gaming. I don't think that anyone would disagree with that. Between the Turtle Beach X41 and the Tritton Ax20 is when controversy starts. The Trittions have the SAME features as the turtle beach x11 and personally i think that they sound WORSE. the X41 are $70 more but you get 7.1 instead of 5.1 surround sound. People say you can't tell the difference. and that is because USUALLY you don't have 2 professional gaming headsets at the same time to do a side by side test. Trust me you can hear the difference. If you ask Anyone in MLG 90% of them would choose Turtle over Tritton but Astro over Turtle. Also Cord are a Hassle. x41 Wireless and the Ax720 Wired. Either save another $70 for x41 or you can still get better quality with x11 for half the price of Ax720. Or you can go all out and Buy Astro which i am not even going to tell you a price because if you don't already know. It's going to be to much. :P
