Universal Pink Kunai Headset - Gamestop Exclusive
Comfortable but issues with pc
I purchased this headset about a month ago. It was great at first. The quality of the music was great when I would use it with my mp3. When I used it with my pc though that is when the issues started. I used it with the remote and instantly started to hear a buzzing. When I was on Skype with my friends they could hear this buzzing too. The microphone also makes a popping noise on their end. There is also some static noise that randomly happens while I am in call. I cannot hear it but my friends can. I unplugged the microphone but they could still hear the static noise from my end. Also the little plastic part that is around the input on the microphone cracked after a few uses of plugging it in. The plastic cover on the input on the headphones broke after a few uses of plugging it in and unplugging it. I am not satisfied with this headset.
For those of you having problems
Found this bit of info under the same headset just in white.
"I bought this headset for the PS4 and despite the bad reviews so far here Ive had no problems when connecting this. My friend bought a turtle beach PX11 and this headset is like night and day better compared to that. Its versatile and works with almost any console. When connecting to the PS4 you do need to install the updates (newest currently is 1.52) but after that all you need to do is connect it using the 3.5mm jack in the bottom of the controller not the USB port. Then in the settings adjust the sound output from Chat audio to All audio and turn the volume up on screen. You should be good to go from there. It could be a little louder but if you really need that much sound you can probably get a headset amplifier from like Radio Shack. Otherwise if connected properly this is a great headset for any console."
It looked like some pink fans were having a hard time figuring everything out.
Beautiful headset, but won't work
As any girl, I was attracted to the color. I have had Trittons in the past so I know they are a sturdy brand. But I've encountered many issues with this and plan on returning it.
1. "Works with mobile devices" - I tried it out and it would only work on iphones but I have an android device.
2. I recently bought a PS4 and the update allowed the kunais to work. The sound was alright but it made a funky buzzy noise in the background. The system would not pick up my microphone at all. I did make sure it was plugged in.
3. I'm also a PC gamer, so I set aside my hardy logitec headset for my kunai. Installed the drivers, etc etc. It would not pick up any inbound sound at all. (And yes, the mic was screwed in!)
Overall, it is pretty and comfortable but not work the hassle. The microphone will not work and the audio is selective.
The sound is amazing and don't listen to the other reviews. Make sure you follow ALL the instructions. The plastic is cheap and I do recommend that you set the volume/chat controller on your lap, table, etc. The plastic around the plug with the tritton logo on it will crack or fall off, but you definitely get what you paid for. I think a lot of girls would enjoy this headset. I'd say it's pretty comfortable. It works on pretty much everything. I've had the headset for over 3 months now and I'd definitely recommend this headset.
Make sure you read directions...
I was really skeptical to buy these with the bad reviews, but the normal colored Kunai had gotten decent reviews so I bought them anyways. I'm not sure why it's so difficult for some of these users to get theirs to perform, but I've used them for both regular gaming and multiplayer on our xbox 360, ps4, ps3, and my Mac with zero problems. I used them for Batman Arkham Origins, Call of Duty Ghosts and COD Black Ops 2, WOW, and used them to answer a phonecall / listen to music on my iPhone 5. I has no issues with any of those platforms, the sound was great, and the mic worked well, even a little over sensitive. If you're having issues, first update your software on your systems. Ps4 is still working out kinks, and xbox updates theirs all the time. All of this being said, I did not give them a perfect rating for several reasons. 1. Yes, the material feels cheap, but for a headset under $100, that's what you get. 2. The sound was good, but my $300+ Active noise isolating monster headphones sound way better. Again though, you get what you pay for, these are not top of the line, but great for the price point. In short, they're good, they're pink, and they're the same technology as all the other colors. Quality is often related to cost, so choose your tech investments wisely .
Excellent, would suggest to anyone with ears.
The sound quality is amazing. The only complaint i have on this is that when you plug the headphones into the adapter for the PC, the volume is greatly reduced. Design is high quality, my only complaint is that, as i have a large head, the ear muffs are slightly too small.
pretty in pink headset!!!
so sexy and cute and besides the looks they work awesome i got these for my ps4 and the sound is perfect .ignore all the bad comments there just hating !!
Just bought these yesterday, and spent an entire hour trying to figure out how to set them up to my PS4 (since the included instructions were not even updated for the "next gen" consoles). On top of that, I only managed to receive audio through the headset. No working mic whatsoever. When I tried to playback my voice in a message, all I heard was a low "buzzing/static" noise. I feel the quality is decent and the design is amazing for what it's worth (foldable ear cuffs and adjustable boom mic etc), but nowhere near enough to go and pick up. Not even for a gift. I would not recommend this to a friend at all. Really upsets me that I have to result to taking it back today now. I really wanted these badly, but they ruined it for me...
Sexy Pink Headset
finally pink gaming headset for the ladys i bought this as a gift as soon i seen it was available as my girl games with me and it is also Compatible with ps3 pc and xbox that is a huge plus great price
For the price you pay for this thing, you could get a better headset then this, the sound isn't that great at all (at least not for how much it cost).
I got this for my gf because she started playing games online, but it is a real pain to setup for PS3 and even more so with 360. For the price you pay, you could get a wireless headset or something better/cheaper.
It feels it is cheaply made and the sound sometimes so pretty bad. The mic is ok but it doesn't seem as good as if you got the one that comes free with the 360.
