RIG System PC Universal Black Headset
Good but not the best...(go to bottom for bullets)
To keep this review short let me just say that i bought these on sale for $69.99 and had them for about 14 days before i returned it to the store. Let me start out by saying the pros of these headphones, it has great mic quality i tested on Skype but didn't sound as great on games (not the headphones fault) as they automatically compress the mic. Another pro is the sound quality which i really enjoyed how clear the audio was, but this is where i step into the cons as it was not clean, you could hear a slight hum as of interference when no sound was present or the volume was low also, the bass was literally non existent and no where to be found. another con is that these are stereo headphones, not surprising for this price point, but disappointing and expensive fix if you want to buy a separate mix amp such as the Astro's since it provides Dolby digital surround but run you about $129.99, also the RIG mix amp is not useful on PC as changing the mic to the phone option would remove all game sound from PC. Also the RIG at max volume sounds pretty low and no louder than my $20 ear buds. Finally, these headphones get a little bothersome while wearing them for an hour straight which if you play the big name multiplayer FPS games its only about 2-4 matches to add to this the microphone is not the slightest bit flexible. *PROS: Clear Audio, Great microphone quality, Ear Cups fold flat. *Cons No Bass, Awkward Feedback, Uncomfortable after short period use, Non-Flexible microphone, Low overall Volume, Partially compatible with PC.
