We purchased the headset for my son for xmas, but wanted to try it out first. We enjoy the dual games and enjoyed the headset we purchased. We decided to purchase another set so when playing together we could all be included in the chat. The second headset can't for some reason be used. I have looked for information about this and have come up short.
As far as the quality of the headset; the ear piece is just a bit small but can be dealt with. the cord is long to allow the user to sit further from the television, the mute button is easy to access, but I can see how the microphone could become damaged as it is flexible. For the price...I guess 30.00 is a little high as I am sure the only thing you are really paying for is the PlayStation name. The guide that comes with it is a "Quick Setup Guide" and provides no other information. Not even on the website provided.
I suppose it is back to the store for one headset. Would I recommend this to a friend? Yes if I knew they couldn't afford the turtlebeach headset. For a younger person first starting out on the headset yes I would recommend these as they aren't too loud and overbearing.

I could seriously kick myself for not reading the product reviews before purchasing. The headset design is great (albeit a little cheap): nice design, comfy ear piece, mic is adjustable and doesn't pick up a lot of background noise etc. However, with the exception of a very limited number of games, the mic just decides to quit working (although you can still hear everyone) and sometimes won't come back on at all unless you completely exit and restart the game or other times requiring you to repeatedly disconnect and reconnect the cable. I thought it was just a random occurrence until I read the product reviews and noticed nope, it's not just me. It sucks, I've only had it for a few months and now and I'm already shopping for different one.

I bought this mic purely so I could yell at my team when they sucked. At first I was going to get some turtle beaches, but who seriously has atleast $50 to drop on a headset? So I grabbed these because of the price and the fact that it is wired. Overall it is a fantastic headset for the price! It does it's job but not much more, very light on your head, your able to wear it for hours and forget it is there. My only things I'd fix is that the volume/mute controls are rather heavy compared to everything else, so if it's not on your lap it will pull your headset down, but it's not that big of a deal. I would recommend this mic to anyone who owns a PS3. Great value!

Ok first off, for the people who play online with their ps2, I salute you, I wish i could but first of all I can't find the harddrive at a good price and there is not enough phone outlets in our house, so I can't. But anyhow, judging from the picture, it looks like it won't hold up very long and I'm sure you can find better alternatives somewhere else, but if you can't well, this might be your best bet. What i just wrote was for the ps2, but for the ps3 this would be a nice steal, I mean a headset for $25?! Some of the others out there are $50 to $150, so if you're tight on cash, own a ps3, and need a headset, why not go with this.

So sometime in early December, I got myself a copy of MW3. Of course, what is the game if you don't have a headset to co-ordinate team attacks online or just general talk smack to intimidate the enemy. The product seemed really good, it's price was within decent range for something that might only get used 2-3 hours a day (compared to other headsets). The design was simple and easy to adjust and adapt to. At first, it worked great, and the length of the cord was long enough for me to still roll to and fro on my chair from my table and PS3. But it did not even take a full month before I started to experience problems with the product. After the first two-three weeks, the headset would randomly stop working, forcing me to unplug and replug it to get it working again. About three days ago, the microphone stopped working all together. The most annoying part is I can still hear through the headset but cannot respond back. In fact, the only reason I am writing this review is because I came on here to see if the 'One Year Warranty' the box advertises is actually true because I plan on using it. Also, I seen that JSarge from Dover, NH had the same problem as me (so it is something that should be addressed). Advice to anyone that does decide to get this product, HOLD ONTO YOUR RECEIPTS. It is a good headset but it is a shame that 2-4 hours every-other-night of use for nearly four weeks is enough to make it useless.

I've never had any problems with the headset in the many months I've been using it, and the audio quality is absolutely amazing in contrast to the various Bluetooth headsets I've used before I caved and bought this. It's a little pricey considering the simple design, but the fact that it can be used across other platforms as well (Namely the PC and Wii) I have very few qualms about this particular headset overall. There's always going to be occasional hassles with the headset, but it's nothing a simple replugging of the headset won't fix.

I was planning on getting a headset to play MW2 online. When I came to gamestop, I looked at all the other headsets. They all costed at least $40. Then this one caught my eye. This was only 25 bucks. The logitech one was cheaper, but it was junk. When I plugged this in and changed the settings, I could chat on voice chat. But online, I heard other people, but they couldn't hear me. I dont know what the problem was but I fixed it. The buttons are confusing becuase you dont know if you mute or note, etc. Overall great buy!

When I bought this headset, I figured it would just be a starter til I could save for a better one. If you're only interested in talking online and don't care about actually hearing the game, this is for you. I saw many reviews where people said theirs broke easily, and I have to say they must have driven over it for it to break. I've put mine through the wringer from raging at CoD and it still works perfectly. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a simple headset to communicate with for a very reasonable price.

its a pretty good headset I got it and the mic broke when I was raging at cod but if your really stupid you would just throw it away but all you have to do is fix it and it only takes 5 minutes to re solder the wires back together but I recommend taping the wires after soldering them then its practically invincible. otherwise its got great sound and people hear you great. its a good head set for beginners and intermediate players. the sound quality is not better than turtle beach though.
Rated 4 out of 10 by JustCallMeJupiter Decent Sound and Voice, bad Design
These headphones were great for the first week I owned them. Around the end of the first week / start of the second week, I began to experience design issues with the headset. For instance, the speaker broke off and was unrepairable, the mic on the inside of the black part was broken open to an unrepairable extent (least of my concerns, however). The other end of the headset annoyed me to no end (SOMETIMES). All in all, decent sound and voice, bad design.
