HyperX Cloud Gaming Headset
"THE" Best Gaming Headset on the Market
Out of all the headsets I own and/or have tried (Steelseries, Polk 4 Shot, TurleBeach, Tritton, and Atros) The HyperX Cloud headsets are the best. Comfortable for hours of gaming, durable, and the sound they produce are great! For less than 1/3 of the price from some of the competition, this is not only the best deal, but a steal! I would expect these to cost at least $174.99 ~ $200. It may not say compatible with Xbox One on the box, but they are! If you're thinking about getting the Cloud II, the ONLY difference is the USB 7.1 build in sound card and a single 3.5mm cable from the headset as opposed to (2) (mic/headphones)
Very Comfortable. Period.
I have been gaming on PC and consoles for 20 years and the most important thing for me on a headset is comfort and sound quality. Whether I am playing Call of Duty or League of Legend for hours on end I find myself with a headache from headsets that clamp my head too hard. These Cloud headsets feel amazing as if I am not wearing a headset at all. So I mainly use them for PC (LOL, Titanfall, Wildstar), but they have this adapter that allows me to plug it in my PS4 controller as well. You get a traveling bag along with extension cables, airplane, adapter, and etc. I guess you can use these for Xbox One if you buy a Xbox One stereo adapter, probably just pick up one at Gamestop. Overall, I really enjoy these headsets. I have used headsets from Turtle Beach, Razer, and Steel Series, but for the overall package these are amazing!
Some things aren't described on the box.
For instance, the amazing sound cancellation that these headphones have. I can't even hear my keys as I type this. My friend who has the same headset couldn't hear his fiance from 6 feet away. The sound quality is amazing. The microphone has no background noise issues. It's comfortable enough that I was able to go three days in a gaming marathon without having to take them off. The biggest issue I've had with headsets is that the microphone always bent, broke or disconnected internally. I'd find myself having to fix headsets constantly when minimal stress is being put on them. This one makes that (so far) a thing of the past. I can just unplug the microphone and set it safely to the side. I honestly never thought a headset would be customize-able, but this one really does everything it says and more.
Great headset only one issue
Price is great sound is great its comfortable and works with ps4. The only thing I do not like is that I get intteruptions in the audio just little breaks or skips here and there but it is constant and doesnt matter what im doing on the ps4. This might be a simple issue with having them plugged into the ps4 controller but was unable to locate anything online as how to hook them up for better use. My last set of headphones had no problem when connected to the controller. My current tv does not have a headphone jack which I overlooked when purchasing it so that is out of the question. I dont know if its a faulty headset or something with the setup. Have not tried an amp but dont know if that would resolve my issue or not. Other than this great headset for the price and would reccommend them to anyone who doesnt want to spend a rediculous ammount on something like this.
Love This Headset!!!
Even for a headset under $100 it out performs headsets over $100, even though this headset is stereo, most 5.1 or surround sound headsets don't give you that immersive feel. Now these headsets do and even over time goes on they seem to get better and better, the comfortability is awesome and it's one of those headsets that after awhile you forget your wearing them while gaming. I highly recommend this headset to anyone willing to spend about $80-$90, well worth the investment!
Waaaay more than i expected!
Ive had turtle beach before and thought they where great but they dont even come close to the Hyper X Clouds. The things are built like a tank and perform like Ferarri. Comfortable to wear and great sound. I assumed being made of aluminum and leather that they would be heavy and uncomfortable but i was 100% wrong. Aluminum construction, leather covers, gold connections, braided wires....These should last a very long time!
Best gaming headphones I've used
These headphones are the most comfortable headphones I've ever owned for gaming. They can be used for PC, Xbox One, and PS4 with simple plug-and-play convenience. The sound is also better than either the Turtle Beach XO Sevens and the Polk 4 Shot do to the Hyper X having 53 mm drivers vs the 40 mm in the other two. I won't say that the sound is the best I've ever heard. That honor probably goes to the Tritton Warheads but since those don't work with my Xbox One and PS4 I had to get a replacement. As someone who is both an audiophile and who spends hours at a time gaming I cannot recommend these enough and for only $79.99 you won't find a better deal either!
Crisp clear sound and mic quality
I use headsets for all my games and when it comes to games requiring quality sound, this mic hits it better than other headsets. It also cuts out background noises (like my noisy fan) and my friends can hear me over clearly on Skype, Raidcall, and other messaging programs. Overall great headset!
Great Sound, Great Value
Bought to use for my stream setup. Great pair of headphones, very comfortable, very stylish, soundstage is excellent. Comes with a lot of accessories, extra cables, adapters, extra earpads, carrying bag. Build quality is also excellent, feels very snug on the head, especially with the velour pads.
Need help for PS4 setup
I bought this headset to use for the PS4 but for some reason I can't hear myself through the headset when I speak into the mic. I made sure to have "All Audio" checked in the settings and checked the mic volume as well. It is only when I check the mic volume that I can hear myself through the headset but once I leave the setting or play a game, I can no longer hear myself. Any help would be appreciated please! This is a great headset and would hate to return it for such a simple issue.
