Call of Duty: Ghosts Shadow Limited Edition Amplified Gaming Headset
Good But High Price
I, like many people, just bought a PS4. The mic you receive with the PS4 is quite poor. I wanted a decent headset but didn't want to pay the extra $60 for the PX4 headset. This headset is a great substitute, but I feel you pay a lot for the COD skin. Pros: Fit head well and have sound quality equal to that of the Turtlebeach X12 headset for Xbox 360. I have no problems hearing and chatting with other players online. Cons: With the earpiece material was better suited to block out surrounding sounds. Overall I would recommend this headset to a friend, but if you have more money, I suggest purchasing the PX4 Wireless Headset.
Great, but can do better.
The headset Control options were perfect and the sound was spectacular, but the extra adapters and the wire lengths remarkable. But having to bundle the wired together was to much of a hassle, and could have used a plastic wrap around with the Velcro. *I don't know what its called*. The design could be Much, Much, MUCH... better, its a boring design but the lack of color is made up by the sound and comfort. But all-in-all its a great headset with much potential.
Great! Except the cord.
I love every thing about it but the really long cord i believe could be shortened or just done away with and replaced by a WIFI dongle or something.
I haven't had this for 30 days yet, and I'm about to go return it. It worked good for a few hours of gameplay, and then the right earpeice stopped working. It looks cool, and the name "Turtle Beach" makes it sound good, but it doesn't work well for long.
NO WIRES, MY BUTT!!!
On 12/6/13, i bought these for myself with my holiday discount. I read on the box and the info online that i wouldn't have to worry about any wires, that was a lie. Being powered by USB, i thought it was a wireless USB transmitter that transmit the sound from the console into the headset. After i took it out to look at it, to me it had too many wires. First it had the a wire running from headset, second you had to plug that in into the USB transmitter and finally you had the chat wire. I immediately packaged it back up and returned it. I have the earforce X32 headset and i love it way better than this one. I like the design, saving batteries is a good thing, but i rather buy batteries over and over again than using this headset.
Universal X12's with a fancy design
This headset is decent, but you have to talk louder than ever before for the mic to catch your voice. I only play 1 console (xbox) so the universal feature is useless for me and compared to the x12's, it feels like i paid 40 bucks just for a COD Ghosts headset skin. I suggest get the x12's and save 40 bucks.
This headset is very nice well built and very loud. I can hear footsteps across the map. Chat is great chat boost is hard to get use to same with all of the buttons.
I thought it would be better.
I got this headset just so I wouldn't have to use that horrid one that comes with the PS4. I thought it would be pretty good since it had a $100 price tag but I was wrong. It does fit your head good and it has pretty great sound quality... But after wearing the headset for a 3+ hour gaming session, they really start to irritate your ears. The mouthpiece picks up every sound around you (dog barking, walking, etc.) and is a bit bulky. I feel like this headset is just a glorified set of PX21's that they put a CoD: Ghosts decal on. I regret buying these and I wish I would have waited and gotten a better headset.
