Wow is a great game, starting out. However once you eventually hit level 80 you realize that youve spent 80 levels of doing quests and stuff mostly solo, sure you may have done a dungeon or two on your way but most of the leveling process is done all by yourself. Then you find out that in order to get anything accomplished in this game you need to actually group with people...while grouping with people is not horrible and I am not anti-social,it is a bit disappointing that you spend countless hours getting used to the game from a solo perspective to only get forced into a grouping concept to actually see any of the "end game" content. Now here is where Blizzard really gets you hooked. They force you to join a guild in order to do said "end game" content and you eventually make a friend or two. Now the game itself is not enough to keep anyone playing it as much as we all do,it is the relationships we end up forming with like minded people that keep us coming back. So the game starts to become more fun because of the people who play it and not the game itself, guess you can pretty much say this about every game that pushes a group concept. Now on top of this issue of finding a guild and keeping up relationships with members of it you also need to "gear" your character. Now Blizzard has done a great job of making acquiring post raiding gear easily accessible to your average player. However alot of time needs to be dedicated to the gear "grind". Many people who play Wow will decide whether you are a good or bad player based on the gear you are wearing, while this is normally a pretty good stick to measure a players skill it does 2 things. 1.) It makes you feel bad if you are kept out of a group because of lack of gear. 2.) Makes the person judging you feel like they are better than you. Now the first thing will happen often when you first hit max level, and ironically enough the second reason is what fuels alot of people to continue to play this game. The need for people to feel better about themselves at the cost of others is something this game thrives upon. This "elitist" attitude is what keeps people playing this game, because in order to be better than somone else you need to have better gear and getting that gear requires alot of time invested in this game. So you need to "grind" to level 80,then "grind" to find a guild with like minded people, then "grind" to get gear, and in a way "grind" to get respect from your peers. This game is full of time sinks,if you have countless hours a day to waste away in front of the computer trying to be better than somone else then this game is definatly for you. After playing Wow for over 3 years i can honestly say skipping this game is one of the best decisions anyone can make in their life.

Ok let's be serious, if you are an mmo fan then WoW really is a great game. The only problem I have with it, is the new content does not feel as epic as back when AQ and Naxx were being released 3 years ago. Back then the new raids would be presented with massive world content going on that would include characters of any level collecting items and doing quests to help open the next content. Also with the way WoW is not, if you haven't ran a Raid already then you cannot get into a group to do it. On my server you had to already have the Achievement for Naxx/Uld to be able to get a group to do it. My BIGGEST thing against WoW is that even though the game has 10 Million players with like 40-50 thousand players per server, the PVP of the game is completely based around Arena combat. Since the release of WotLK they haven't really added any benefits to doing normal BGs anymore. If you do BGs you can get some crappy "Blue" armor that you can get quicker by doing Naxx badge runs... and the only way to get any "Epic" for PvP you have to do Arenas. So, 10 million players and the most imports PVP is 5 versus 5. It's a great game, but I have put it down for a while until Cataclysm comes out and I'll give it another try.

The Wrath of the Lich King exspansion pack has blown the prevois one,The Burning Crusade, out of the way and has claimed it's right as an epic exspansion! Once you step foot into the frozen wasteland of Northrend, you are immediately thrown into the waging war against the Lich King's undead army. One of the new features is the introduction of the seige vehicles, which you can operate and lay waste to your enemies. You can even rise as a Death knight, and break free from the Lich King himself! The challenge of this exspansion is of course mighty, leaving players feeling accomplished. The controls are a 10/10 as always, simply because players may customize just about everything. Interface is better than ever, leaving players feeling more and more immersed into the game. The sound is good, but has room for improvement. Whenever I'm in a Heroic Dungeon or Raid, sometimes all the sounds seem to merge together into this different single sound. Character Custimization is good, but again, this has room for improvement. The graphics have actually improved greatly in this exspansion. The length, is of course long as always. Last but not least, the storyline. The lore behind WoW is one of epic tales and will always be the back bone of this game. Blizzard has once again out done themselves, delivering yet another game of epic proportions!

I looked at the average review, a 7, and thought to myself this can't be true. This game is very addicting 1-80 and even at max level! Theres something different... a game with alot of end game content! Honestly if your looking for an MMO that you plan on sticking with World of Warcraft is the way to go. Its very fun to PvE, level from 1-80 and PvP, graphics are pretty good, and the lay out is like sledding down a icy hill, very easy to pick up and very easy to like. If I were to give an average sum up review for WoW, I would give it a 9.5. I am very brutal when it comes to rating things, so trust me this is a good buy. The world is huge, and never gets boring. Servers are also populated, unline other MMO'S. Please do yourself a favor and purchase WoW.

I started playing WoW right after The Burning Crusade came out. The first original game was really good. Since the original game was supposed to take you through the bulk of the game, it took me a while to get through it. The graphics and sound quality were good. The interface was easy to learn and use. Basically it was an all around good game. By the time I got to the point in the game where I could use the expansion, The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King had been released. Again, I loved the new features Burning Crusade offered. It took me a while to get through it and it was more challenging. The quality of the game hadn't changed but it was still good. Once I got through that expansion, I got Wrath of the Lich King (WLK). WLK just didn't do it for me. The new areas didn't offer anything new. The graphic and sound quality didn't improve either. For those that don't know, the higher level you get, the more time it takes to grow one level. The Burning Crusade expansion offered new areas for higher levels. In turn, it took more time to level in the new areas. With the newest expansion of WLK, the time it took to level was just to much. I simply didn't have the spare time to spend hours and hours just to level once. I know from experience in the game that many people will spend almost the whole day playing WoW nonstop. Overall, I wouldn't recamend getting WLK. Its gotten to the point where to play the game, you have to commit to playing in all your free time.

I like this game alot. this expansion added alot of new things to do and places to go. Northrend is way better than outlands. The expansion added new dungons and plenty of new quest to do. Once you have a charcter at lvl 55 you can make a death knight. they are strong but are not as overpowerd as everyone thinks. I beat a death knight in a duel with a paladin so its not like there unbeatable. The downside to the whole wow series is that it can time consuming. You wont hit lvl 80 in a week unless you do the power leveling guid that people are always talking about which i think is stupid to do. Also like the burning crusade they always have new patches that are comming out that you have to download, and they do realm restarts alot. beside that this is a amazing game and is definatly worth buying.

| This expansion really raised the bar from Burning Crusade. This game includes stuff that WoW players (like myself) wanted. WoW dives into Northrend, the continent above Azeroth, that includes Icecrown, where Arthas sits on his Frozen Throne. Of course there are more quests to do, but they add in new ways to complete quests when I thought there couldn't be any new quests and I'd be just killing and gathering for quest turn-ins. Vehicular combat is also a plus. Rolling around in a steam tank in pvp or a quest is definitely fun. However, vehicular combat is not limited to just a siege tank. You can find yourselves on dragons, helicopters, etc. Now also a big plus in this game is that when you're in the level gap exploring Northrend (Levels 70-80), you get to refreshed with footage from Frozen Throne with Arthas sinking his own ships and his discovery of Frostmourne.
Graphics: The graphics may look similar, but they can be easily made up for. The artwork done is complete amazing and also puts in some effort to create new items that actually look real different than just different colors of them. However, I would like to see in the future a little bit of an upgrade. Sound: Added dimension affects this factor a lot. When playing as the first and new hero class Death Knight, your character will not sound like the generic character (i.e. a male dwarf) but a kind of sinister version of that. They also included real sound clips from Frozen Throne campaign. It feels like you're playing Frozen Throne, but you're not. It's just a real cool feeling for any Warcraft fans out there. Gameplay: Blizzard is doing all they can to make WoW an enjoyable, fun, and new experience for all of its players. The simple quest concept still stays, but it makes it easier to get through the levels so it's pretty casual friendly. However, it offers quite a couple options for those already 80. Raiding and PvPing (whether Battlegrounds, Arena, and World) are the two basic things, but there are others. Like the achievement feature where you can gain achievement points for certain accomplishments. What I also like are the titles that you earn that can just add on to your character name just to show what your accomplishments are without saying a thing. Replay: It's dangerous to be playing nonstop for days on end because soon you will reach a depressed, unwillingness to play type of mood. Because of the buffed quest system and most recently the leveling through PvP, it can take no longer than a few hours a day or every other day to get that xp bar filled up. Overall: I say that Wrath of the Lich King is a definite (actually a required) game to get if you want to experience Northrend, the 80 level cap, the Death Knight hero class, and more. I can be safe assured though for you Warcraft veterans out there that Blizzard headed in the right direction with this expansion, for those who are burned out or quit WoW, WotLK will certainly have you coming back for more, and the casuals, you will want to try out this game. Trust me, all three categories and any Warcraft fan out there should at least give this game a shot, especially with the second expansion. |

I think they should have added more like maybe you could mix the races idk if it would get better sales but i think that would have been cool you know like a blood orc or some thing lol but all around its pretty good i like the lich king thing since the death knight is a class now (they should have added more hero classes like beast master and blade master that would have been a up towards the game) the game does get dull some times like when you reach the final level or when you are a low level such as in the 10's 20's or 30's ive been with the series since warcraft orcs and humans ive played all the games but when they released World of warcraft they sort of break away from the RTS game play which kinda surprized me they should have made a warcraft 4 which shows what happened after arthus became the lich king you know like a aftermath thing and he trys to kill every one which would lead to kinda like a peace treaty with the horde and alliance or whatever but with out the undead but idk it might be kinda weird because that would make the game differant which would make the good people the orcs trolls and humans and such but then i think they should be a thing to choose like are you in the with the new alliance or the lich king which would be better PS. Idk if i said this but the horde and alliance comeing together would lead to the mixed races such as blood humans, night trolls, those blue creatures and dwarfs or some thing like that its just a thing that i think would improve the game of WoW but they would have to make a warcraft 4 before this could ever happen you know like the lich king is killing every one and the horde and alliance come together to defeat the lich king and which would result in the mixed races and im going to stop here because im repeating my self lol just read this and thing about it lol i mean really it would improve the playing of WoW

I was a long time wow player until i quit. I quit simply because the game go boreing and this x-pac was comming out so i didnt want to raise another 10 lvls. Few months later i bought this and its alright. The challenge is ok but if you know how to play your class then there shouldnt be any problems. The controls are standard u can change them around to whatever you like. Now with the interface you can get really creative. You can have the standard world of warcraft UI(user interface) or install various add ons to change to look and feel for the game. The sounds are alright. Some sounds can make you be like wow while others will be like eh. Character customization is pretty good. You can pick around 10 different races and switch them up to what you like. The graphics for this x-pac has really no improvements. The length is good if you want to spend many hours trying to level up. It gets boreing after so long. Storyline is good. I stopped playing due to being bored of the whole game but the price of tag can be saved for something else.

Omg, i love this X-pac so much!!! this has so much to offer. This expansion is rlly good mainly cause you can get to 80 and it opened up a new continet. Northrend is pretty cool. the first zone that alliance enters is awsome because you are basically at war with some kind of Bugish colony. Sounds dumb but as a Hunter it was really fun for me. It has a few cool quest that are unique like one u have to plant some dynamite in the holes where they come from. Also another cool thing is the Deathknights. They are really tight..i mean rlly tight. The whole storyline of the deathknights and how they rose from outa no where is really epic. For an MMO theres is a twist in the Deathknight story to. There are many cool quests forem to such as flying on a frostbombing dragon, im not gonna give details on it cause u need to do it urself...only thing u need a 55. Also Deathknights have a really cool ending. Improvements is a lot of things but ones that i know personally are hunters speced as survival own in Pvp and can take more damage. Paladins are superb and really really strong but a good mage or n e thing ranged can still getem. If you havent at least tryed wow u rlly need to cause it is one of the best...Although Everquest, warhammer, and all the others are still rlly fun to!!! Buy it
