The Rock Band Wireless Guitar allows players to add another guitar to their band for the full 4-player Rock Band experience. The innovative controller also includes 5 additional frets at the top of the neck so you can tap out extreme solos without having to strum.

Daniel Sussman, Peripheral Producer – “It was critical to the staff at Harmonix, many of whom are musicians in real rock bands of their own, that the Rock Band instruments have a more authentic and realistic look and feel to them than we'd seen with prior music games.

We really wanted the play experience to be as accurate an emulation of playing music as possible, and to pull this off requires peripherals that are true to the real instruments.

We've partnered with Fender and modeled the guitar controller after the Stratocaster. We're really pleased with how the peripherals are turning out. They're really gorgeous pieces of hardware.”

    The Fender Guitar

“We designed the Rock Band guitar peripheral to look almost exactly like the iconic Fender Stratocaster. The Rock Band guitar controller also has a toggle switch similar to the one on a real Fender Strat that allows you to manipulate sound through reverb, flange, wah, delay, etc. We also made the Rock Band guitar lefty compatible!

“We put the button colors on the sides of the neck rather than on the top of the buttons. The new solo buttons at the neck of the guitar let you “finger tap” your way through guitar solos (no strumming required!) Choose your own showboating audio FX by using the Strat’s five-way FX switch. Unlock new FX as you go, including flanger, wah wah, echo & chorus.”

Use "Back" instead of tilting
By: Mr. Guitar Hero    Favorite Category: Music & Party    Date: Monday, Jun 30, 2008
This is a great guitar controller except that when you have a full starpower meter, you might as well just hit back instead of trying to get the tilt sensor to go off. Seriously, if you're in the middle of an insane solo, and you need to use your starpower, its really distracting when your controller wont work. Beside what you've already heard about the horrible tilt sensor, this is a great guitar...[More]

Tilt sensor does not work
By: Really Disappointed    Favorite Category: Music & Party    Date: Wednesday, Apr 30, 2008
I pre-ordered this also.

It works fine except that the tilt sensor for Overdrive works less than 25% of the time. I've started using the Back button, but my friends who are used to tilting the guitar try to tilt it repeatedly, throwing off their concentration. They usually shake it upright four or five times before it activates. I am being generous in using four times for the 25% calcu...[More]

This is Really Impressive

Well I want this guitar a lot. Not just because it’s for rock band and also not because of the shapes and figure of the guitar, but because of the comfort ability. It is really comfortable. I played guitar hero series before and I really liked it a lot especially the Les Paul wireless guitar. But the problem about that guitar (for me) is the fret button is too close to the strum bar. I like the St...[More]
